Life’s a Stage and a Six-act Play
Shakespeare had seven stages of life, but I have settled for six acts on one stage...
The First Act – Innocence: You are running free, a child, with images from past lives and guardian angels vivid in your mind; the imagination free, the strong spirit of enquiry to take those earlier experiences to their next stages of evolution, the constant asking of “why not?” and the fear of being sanctioned by elders who keep admonishing you to “behave.”
The Second Act – Rebellion: Past lives forgotten, with this life becoming more important: the pleasures of adulthood, awakened sexuality,... (more)

Rebirth of Born Again - The death and life of faith
...and cut you from neck to groin. If I do something worthy of an ass whooping, I humbly bow to receive it. I am tired of playing nice little church boy. I will call us out on our bullshit. I will let you know my weakness, my sins. I will not hide how imperfect and hideous my thoughts are. You will hate me or love me, it matters not. This is real, this is my faith. These are my new tenets. My meekness is not weakness. I will defend my life, my household, my family, and my friends with my life. I will be plainly honest and see through. I give you freedom to be you, just don't fuck with me.

What will it feel like to live your ideal life?
My dream life (the ultimate nirvana for me) features living by the sea and working exclusively for myself.
When we decide what we'd like in life - are we thinking about having that thing or being that person or living in that house or are we imagining what it'll feeeeel like to have, be or live like that?!!!
To reach my goals, I've learnt I need to point myself in the right direction first so by concentrating on how it will feel to have achieved this state, I'm beginning to attract events, people etc into my life which will bring this about.
What I'm really interested... (more)

Review of The Ordinary Life and Extraordinary Death
...this is a hugely entertaining book, even as it is quite profound.
The author bio tells us that David Treciak is an award-winning writer with a number of stories and screenplays to his credit. He now lives in L.A. but originally hails from Detroit. They say he’s an avid student of life. Yeah, well, that’s self-evident in his writing. They say he tells tales that’ll make us laugh, cry, and scratch our heads in wonder as the profundity of what he has written sinks in. True enough, and like Treciak’s compelling literary style—well said. Highly Recommended by reviewer: Jan ... (more)

The Day I Began A New Life
It was one of those summer days in the province when I spent my afternoon looking up and dreaming at the limitless azure sky. “Kayganda ng buhay,” (Life is beautiful) I shouted like a child, waving my arms to the distant mountains and hills. Then I sat down on the ground and sighed with pleasure, fascinated as every young leaf and blade of grass sways in the breeze. Such splendor and peace, I thought.
The exuberance of the day was spreading through the towering trees and symphony of the wild birds flying free. A great wave of tranquility came over, leaving me floating in happiness.... (more)

Life is Beautiful
Why is that we don’t tend to agree on the issues of life, which are so important and crucial for the ones happiness. At times differences makes two persons drift and they close all the doors for any sane views to mend the relations. Uncompromisingly they refuse to yield any ground for any rapprochement. They simmer…they crib…they insult each other…and they drift to point of no return. They certainly don’t realize about the loss of precious time and relation. They remain timid and in the bargain life becomes hell.
No words can compensate the real time losses with real time gains, but... (more)

Bags for Life
...we must find a solution to the problems that plastic bags create.
How then, shall this problem be solved?
Instead of being dependent on plastic bags to store and carry our things, we can do our part in saving the Earth by using reusable bags. Sometimes called as the “bags for life” or “eco-friendly bags,” they are often made from fabric such as canvas, woven synthetic fibers, or a thick plastic that is more durable than disposable plastic bags, allowing multiple uses. These eco-friendly bags even look more attractive than the ordinary plastic bags we have.

Review of F-Stop: A Life in Pictures by Emily-Jane Orford
...and approachable and her words pull the reader toward her. In fact, the reader wonders if he was invited to pull up a chair and have a cup of coffee because the atmosphere is as comfortable as home. The mixture of stories and personal photographs allow the reader a well-round glimpse into the life of a woman who had a lot of love to share with her family, friends, and students.
Using her father’s memoirs, the author writes what she believes could be her mother’s story. She bases the dialogue and details of the stories on her own perspective as she remembers the events, and as... (more)
