Welcome to your Inspiration Zone
...of us try to carve out oases of quiet to rest the mind and the spirit in order to write. These are precious moments, diminishing as we age, for our fingers on the keyboard eventually slow down and our tiring minds needs longer periods of pause before they kick into – what I call – the inspiration zone.
What is this zone? It’s a storehouse of memories and impressions created from any and all of the following occurrences: a moment of stress or loss, a change of scene, a thought provoking piece of art, a book, a movie or play, a song, a promotion, a demotion, a firing, an... (more)

Inspiration?
Inspiration saved me from the
desperation that was me after you.
Turns out the only thing attached to
you was me and the hope for all things that could be.
And what happened to the glue that held us together?
Looks like one of the birds lost it's feathers.
Yet still it was strong enough to fly
Soar high into the sky, into oblivion and beyond.
Outside and out of you, the clouds have cleared
and now I see the real you.
There's a little truth in believing I don't want you,
and realzing you don't want me.

Inviting Inspiration
..."Music comes in sudden bursts of creativity". I don't know if he came up with this term or if he borrowed it, but I had searched for the perfect description to describe the madness to my recent writing method.
Sudden bursts of creativity is precisely what has developed, and the way my inspiration has been flowing. Like a tide, inspiration ebbs and then it flows. You can invite her every day, but remember: "There are days we long for her to come yet she proves elusive".
Many times I sit and think of a hundred things that are happening in the news, in the social networks to... (more)

Obama's Inspiration (Hope In Spires)
...history—they inspired.
Thomas Jefferson once said that “the ‘Tree of Liberty’ must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” While this may be true, it would be folly to assume that the “Tree of Liberty” can survive without the breath of inspiration and the light of freedom. We have spilt the blood but cut off the air and blocked out the light—shortsightedness and reckless aggression have seen to that.

Hit Of Inspiration
...as shown in the playoff- deciding game for Freedom as they trailed New Brighton 7-1 with three outs until elimination on. The Freedom Bulldogs lost that game, and although Challis will now never see a playoff game, he thanked his teammates for treating them as an equal.
Challis spent numerous nights wondering why he had to be sick. But now, he knows.
"I believe this, that God got me sick because he knew I was strong enough to handle the situation," he says. "He's using me as an example of his good works. What I mean by that is that people are seeing me as an inspiration."

Yvonne Anderson was recently inspired by Joseph A. Seiss’ 1882 publication, The Gospel in the Stars. This book became the inspiration for The Story in the Stars, the first book in her Gateway to Gannah series. She created a of cast fictional characters and fictional planets to weave her story of faith into an intergalactic fantasy, science fiction, Christian inspirational novel.

You can also choose not to sing at all, or to make up your own song. Good luck with that.
Since this is my square, I get to say what seems to me. And it seems to me that most people go it alone, without His effervescence of holy inspiration, and are often cranky or sad. Or fussy. Or whatever you want to call it.
Even when we don't choose to go it alone, we spend most of our time trying to grab the wheel from Him and aiming it for the ditch. Good part is, if we have let Him in the car, He will guide it gently to the... (more)

Wolviela has crawled out of her den from the hibernation called Grad school. Library school if you must know :) It also helps that I got a source of inspiration to write something.
Yesterday was Martin Luther King’s Day, and unlike most of the general population I had to work, but it was sometime in the evening driving home that I had the most interesting thought and it solidifies that animals are smarter and more intelligent that human beings.

What inspired you to write your first book?
My very first book was a never published Scottish romance. I realized, long before it was finished, that it was a trial run, something on which I could practice and improve my writing skills. As far as inspiration, I would have to say that Georgette Heyer and Joan Wolf were my favorite writers in those long ago days and, therefore, my inspirations.
What books have influenced your life the most?
The historical fiction novels from my childhood have had the greatest influence on me, novels... (more)
