NCAA sets new low in Mens Basketball selection process
...expect a shot at the National Championship. On a good day, two of these teams MIGHT play each other but there is no assurance this will happen. And the third undefeated football team? Too bad.
“Too bad” has now become the answer that a wholly unqualified NCAA Division One Men’s Basketball selection committee, composed of a morally destitute group of the “hangers-on” and “yes men” now foist on the fans and loyal followers who believed the NCAA Men’s Basketball selection process had at least a modicum of respectability. For the record it does not. There is no recourse, ... (more)

Basketball, Acid & 18 year old Scotch OR Becoming A Broo
...the archives to search for the great Broo Brackets.
From that article I spent some time reading other articles from that time period. And I did learn a few things. That parents felt uncomfortable discussing Woodstock with their children. That there seem to be an enormous number of basketball fans amongst the BrooWaha writers core. And that most all of them seem to have done Way too much acid at some point or another. I wandered back into the newsroom and laid in wait for Mr. Friday to make an appearance. He finally showed up around 3 am and I tried to get him to confirm my... (more)

Perfect Record Lost in College Basketball
... Big Ten teams wonder how he felt in prior years about being part of the conference that had lost 10 straight years.
In the recruiting wars where the teams and the two conferences battle for the top talent globally, the intangible of the Big Ten defeating the ACC will be played loud and hard by Big Ten recruiters to talent whom may be considering schools of both conferences. The ACC will crow its 10-1 record in head to head play over the last 11 years. In the end, both conferences will win as they continue with their long history of some of the finest college basketball ever played.

...you to write your first book?
My passion for travel and learning about what the different countries/cultures have to offer is the inspiration behind Cree and Scooter Hit the Slopes in British Columbia, the first book in The Adventures of Cree and Scooter series. As a professional basketball player, basketball has opened my world to experience a host of different countries and cultures. It is a combination of all these experiences that have opened my eyes wide and broadened my perspective on life. Imagine a world where all our children can read well. That is what I am trying to ... Observations from Obama’s Richmond Rally
...it was a festive atmosphere inside of Siegel Center, with chants of "four more years!" and "fired up, ready to go!" and the wave even got going for a while. Many in the crowd held up blue signs with the campaign's new slogan, "Forward."
There were speeches from popular VCU Rams basketball head coach Shaka Smart, Richmond Mayor Dwight Jones, former Virginia Democratic Governor Tim Kaine, other dignitaries and Obama supporters.
Finally, after all the waiting, at around 5 p.m. President Obama took the stage to enthusiastic and loud cheers from the boisterous crowd. Obama... (more)

College Basketball Games to Watch Tomorrow
Kentucky @ South Carolina: Kentucky off a loss at Alabama to go to 2-2 in the SEC. All of their losses have come on the road. A surprising South Carolina is in 1st place in the SEC East and helping them is freshman Bruce Ellington. Pick: KentuckyVillanova @ Syracuse: After both teams losing MLK day, Syracuse to Pittsburgh, and Villanova to Connecticut, both teams want to bounce back and win. Corey Stokes for the Wildcats is struggling and Corey Fisher is riding the high wave having a good game against the Huskies. Kory Joseph for the Orange is questionable, and the leading scorer at 14.2 PPG.... (more)

Randy, I'm out of your face. Ready to apologize yet?
...leads me to a very upsetting, angry, mortified incident that took me by surprise today as I went to work out with my personal trainer shortly after noon. (Please feel free to come and join me or see me at my prime.) When I went to sign in, two of the trainers, one who trains me and played basketball for Wake Forest and is a great, no make that amazing athlete and super trainer were chatting. Little did I know that I was about to walk into a hornet's nest. Let me give you a bit more background.
Where I work out, there are at least 4 or 5 NFL players who work out every now and then... (more)

Time to TALK ABOUT IT...
... I guess it would be nice to have a list of questions or something. I just want to know if we have much more in common, if we really can build a solid friendship and if this relationship is good for me as well as for him. He's good looking. He is kind and loving. He likes watching football and basketball as much as I do. But I just am hoping to have a few questions or something to start a conversation and dig a little deeper to see just how much we gel together. Have any ideas?
Sincerely,
What To Ask
