V's Profile

A word about V:

I work in fashion but spend most of my time day dreaming that I am living in a colonial home somewhere in India during the British Raj, writing a fabulous novel about passionate love and equally passionate revolution, sipping on Ceylon tea, watching elephants and monkeys splash about in the fat, monsoon rain (that never, ever makes my hair frizzy). That's this week anyway. For real, I'm just this Australian girl trying to make sense of this strangely alluring big city and my place in it.

Local hangouts:

Abbot's Habit, the beach, the boardwalk, the French Market Cafe, soon to be found in local bars more often now that I have taken back up with the bottle. I can be sighted all around Venice on Mathilda (my beloved beach cruiser).

Books:

Oh sheesh. Uhm ... all time favs ... Le Petit Prince and Love in the Time of Cholera. I'll read most anything though.

Music:

It makes my world go 'round. Only the good stuff and as often as possible. I go out for music A LOT.

Movies:

I can't think. But I'm about to nurse my hangover on the couch with a platter of pancakes and "The Devil & Daniel Johnston." But seeing as though hangover = mental illness when suffered by yours truly, that's probably a very bad idea.
