Male Trends in Fashion and Health: How To Look Good and Feel

A lot of men want to feel as though they can take on the world. They want to feel confident in their body and they also want to feel as though they can do just about anything. Of course, with the times changing, a lot of people don’t know how to achieve this true inner-body confidence and that is why there has never been a better time to start improving yourself.

Do More

Lift more, run more, do more. Everything starts with your core, and you need to make sure that you are connected to your body in every possible way. Make sure that you understand what your body is telling you and also make sure that you do everything you can to push for that extra mile.

If You Can’t Grow a Beard…Don’t

If you want to look good then patchy facial hair isn’t the way to go. It can make you look prickly and even slovenly. Now’s a good time for you to stop experimenting and start embracing your clean-shaven look. With your hair, try and style it. Shave it, comb it, either way, do your best to stop that raggedy look. Ultimately, you’ll want to look as though you’ve just come out of the barber shop every single time you hit the streets. If you know you’re balding, why not consider a hair transplant? It is a great way for you to get your confidence back and it can help you to embrace your young and confident self.

Henley Tops are the Way Forward

Don’t just opt for a white t-shirt or a patterned jumper. Try and go for a henley-styled shirt. These shirts have buttons going up the neck and these can actually be unbuttoned if you want to try and enhance your neckline. You can even wear a shirt underneath and they have a very slim fit as well. If you want to go for the cool and casual look, why not roll-up the sleeves and add a few bracelets?

Slim Jeans are Your Friend

Slimline jeans are not skinny jeans. They conform to your body and they can go a long way in making you appear both leaner and taller. They should not be so tight that they cut off any blood circulation either. Go out and buy a pair of skinny jeans if you have to, but buy them one size bigger than you need. Then, tailor the waist. The one rule you need to follow is that darker is always better and always go for mid-rise. Low-rise jeans will make you look as though you have very short legs.

Clean those Nails

Make sure that you do everything you can to keep a clean and tidy appearance. This includes trimming your nails and keeping them clean. There is absolutely no shame in going for a manicure and you would be surprised at how easy it is for you to get booked in. Most people can see you that same day and once you have been for one, there is a very high chance that you will never miss an appointment again.

Always Moisturise

If you have flaky skin or even serious skin issues then do your best to try and exfoliate your skin before you apply your moisturiser. This includes your elbows and even your knees. A lot of people miss these areas and after a couple of moisturising sessions, you can really tell the difference. It also helps to know what brands are more catered to men, because this will help you to really stand out from the crowd while making your skin glow.

Stay Away from Cheap Body Spray

Cheap body spray can be smelt from a mile away. It smells like a teenage boy’s locker room and it looks incredibly tacky when it is in your bathroom. Ditch this altogether and rely on normal deodorant. It is great because it really helps to enhance your natural smell and it even helps you to feel confident knowing that you smell like a man, not like a boy.

White Socks are Your Mortal Enemy

White socks are chunky, awkward and just not nice when paired with a lot of fashionable items. Try and go with black trouser socks or even crew socks. They will compliment your outfit much better.

Stray Hairs

Your basic maintenance routine should include plucking any stray hairs. This includes the ones up your nose and even your eyebrows as well. You may be cursed with a mole hair, if you do, get rid of it and make sure that you do everything you can to stop it from coming back. If you are planning to tweeze your hairs then try not to. It is a much better idea for you to use a trimmer because when you do, you eliminate the risk of having ingrown hairs at a later date.

Moustaches

Moustaches are great. Seriously. One tip is to make sure that yourmoustache doesn’t grow past your top lip. You don’t want it to curl around your mouth either. This can make you look unkept and even if you do have it styled properly, unless it is paired with the right beard, it just won’t look right. With your neck, there is always straggly beard hair and this can be very unappealing. Make sure that you trim these as well, and deal with any hairs that are on the back of your neck.

Long-Sleeved Shirts > Short-Sleeved Shirts

If you can, go for a long-sleeved shirt. This looks way better when the sleeves are rolled up when compared to a short-sleeved shirt. You can wear this style to work or even when you go out and around the town, so always take that into account. On top of this, there is nothing wrong with white shirts either. You just have to make sure that the shirt itself doesn’t come too far below your waist because if it does then you risk having it baggy and this look just does not look good at all.
