For those of you who feel that you never have enough hours in the day to accomplish what you need to do, your favorite time of year is about to begin this Sunday Nov. 6th.

Just how much are we really benefiting from Daylight Savings Time? Does it really save us energy? Does it affect us physically?

The idea behind it is that it’s supposed to help us save electricity. Twenty five percent of all the electricity we use for lighting and everyday small appliances occurs in the evening when families are home. By moving the clock back one hour, we cut the amount of electricity we consume... Read More

A Chilean copper and gold mine that is located 500 miles in the North of Santiago collapsed since August 5. That is 69 days since the 33 miners have been trapped underground. On August 31, rescuers team landed on the place and started to drill a preliminary test hole with a 31-ton drill. The process was interrupted on September 2 due to geological faults and at this moment engineers suggest that a rescue within 4 months would be optimistic.

Finally, the process had to continue and these men have all been rescued and taken to hospital for medical check up. All these miners do not have... Read More

Hundreds and hundreds of people have died and around four million have been displaced from their homes and families. It is easy for me to write the figures here and it’s easy for you to read it but to those who have faced the loss; it’s a lot more than mere calculation. Those people have no where to go. They are sleeping, defecating and living on the roads. Waterborne diseases have erupted in all those areas at an enormous scale. They are dependent on others for even a single course of their meal. They are dependent on others to help them keep their bodies covered. They are dependent on others... Read More

If we were rational people, the evacuation of California would begin today. The destruction of Haiti by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake is not only an immense catastrophe, of Biblical proportions, for that accursed country, but is also a prophecy for California. Earthquakes do not strike only the poor. Nor are they always a surprise.

Along geological fault lines, where tectonic plates -- huge chunks of the earth's crust, floating like enormous icebergs on the molten magma of the earths interior -- grind past or into each other, the accumulation of strain and its release as earthquakes is... Read More

Water is too scarce to use for bathing, and drought has created dust bowls. The problem is compounded by AIDS and treatable diseases -- such as diarrhea, pneumonia and tuberculosis and these problems lead the poor into inhumane solutions causing them to sell off their children to save the lives of other members of their families, thus creating modern slavery in the modern world. "While the world's attention is currently gripped by events in other regions, Africa is in crisis with thousands of people dying silently each day, " Experts warn that the current stocks located in the countries... It is time for Britain/America to exorcise the ghosts of the past and come to terms with its history as it steps into the new millennium.

It is time for the governments and all who participated or benefited from slavery to repent and admit to these colonial horrors of our past and the extreme effects of such a negative precedent. Allowing racism to continue sends a criminal message by stating that slavery was and is a positive alternative. Furthermore the message goes on to say that it was/is not a crime to commit an offense against the darker people of the earth and so we continue to... Read More

In our tiny 200 years, we've killed virtually all of the buffalo. We've killed virtually all of the Native Americans. We moved in and stole a country and dominated it like we had the right. We've kidnapped, stolen and sold, owned and murdered slaves by the millions, and had a major internal Civil war. We've Established and run the 5000 strong KKK and had five Presidents in it, (a despicable notion ). We have the highest number of people in jails per capita of any country on Earth. We've given birth to the greediest, most disillusioned generation on Earth; and attacked and murdered 100... Read More

The world we live in currently, one would be very hard pressed to experience rational peace and genuine freedom. "Peace", is a rare and almost extinct commodity. It is a shadow in the memory of humanity, a mere moment in the blink of an eye that we seldom...

Nice piece Credo as usual. You mention in context at the end "for fear of making war with the Gods." The keystone of peace lies crumbling, simply because the 'Gods of war' reign supreme despite race, religion, etc. Hypothetically if religion didn't exist...

I have serious doubts about the reality of Christ, but I have no doubt that if he existed, he did not look the way as the image commonly depicted in the U S and the rest of the West does. As the early Christians made war on pagan civilizations and cultures,...
