For the first time in 7 years there is little hope of the playoffs, let alone the championship in Cleveland. The post-LeBron era begins with the 2010-11 NBA Season in Cleveland. Thankfully the local media has yet to cover the NBA season daily, possibly knowing that the fans are not ready yet for the wave of humiliation that is sure to come. For many fans this is the first time following the Cavs without LeBron, and for far many more, it's the first time following LeBron without the Cavs.

After reading more than a few national articles about the events that transpired this spring concerning... Read More

The article "LeBron is gone, Ohio should move on" completely captures the "outsider" view of the "LeBrondyssey" of this summer's NBA free agncy. The author titles the article,"LeBron is gone, Ohio should move on" , but ends with, "I learned a hard lesson years ago in the employment world — and let's not forget that basketball is about business and that James is employed by it — business is business. It's not personal." That is where she has mixed up two distinctly different issues, like oil and vinigar. She did a good job mixing in the middle but in the end, just like oil and vinigar mix,... They say nothing lasts forever. With that in mind, maybe Cavs fans, let alone the rest of the NBA should've seen this coming.

LeBron James' decision to not resign with his hometown Cavaliers and to join All-Stars Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami for the 2010-11 season was expected after rumors swirled about James flying down to Miami to meet with Heat president Pat Riley before Thursday night's 1-hour ESPN special "The Decision." James posted on his @kingjames Twitter account "The Road to History begins now." shortly after he landed in South Beach last night.

It sounds like the beginning of a bad Family Guy breakaway...

"That sounds as stupid as that one time those basketball players pulled unloaded guns on each other..."

Then the show cuts away from the central storyline (or general lack thereof most of the time) and everyone watches as animated depictions of Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton in the Washington Wizards locker room pull unloaded firearms on each other over an expensive card gambling dispute.

It sounds so ridiculous and absurd that you may actually have the inkling to laugh - until you remember that this isn't... Read More

The residents of Washington, D.C. and the surrounding suburbs have been suffering fans of their professional sports teams. With the exception of the hockey team, the Washington Capitals, the other 3 major sports franchises, Wizards, Nationals and Redskins, have all been dismally inept with standings at the bottom or near thereto of their respective leagues. This was supposed to change for the Washington Wizards basketball team with the return of their star player, Gilbert Arenas, who had missed most of the last 2 seasons with knee injuries. The team lost Saturday night to the Indiana Pacers... Read More

With the victory in the final game by Wisconsin which defeated a highly ranked Duke team, the Big Ten conference won for the first time against the ACC since the match up was started 10 seasons ago. With 6 victories against 5 losses, the Big Ten gets bragging rights about which is the superior conference.

Both conferences have glorious histories of success during the regular season and in the NCAA finals. For many years, they each have had perennial powers like Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, Duke and North Carolina who all have won the Final Four tournament. Each has one or more championship... Los Angeles Lakers Fans Got Game

Los Angeles-The inaugural Lakers 3on3 Basketball Tournament presented by NIKE was held on a hot weekend, August 14-16, 2009. Coca Cola, Powerade and Vitamin Water were in attendance to insure that everyone stayed hydrated. A portion of player registration fees were donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. Parks and gyms were missing a lot of basketball players this weekend. It seems like the entire street ballers were all downtown for this event. Players came from all over Los Angeles and surrounding cities.
