In late 2007, student Meredith Kercher was found brutally murdered in a hillside cottage in Perugia Italy. Her murder sparked a media frenzy due to the alleged sexual nature of the crime. News out of Perugia told unsubstantiated tales of a satanic ritualistic sex orgy that led to murder. At the heart of these accusations was Meredith's roommate Amanda Knox. This outrageous fantasy all began with a kiss.

The morning following the murder, Amanda Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were standing outside the cottage watching investigators and members of the media converge on the murder... Read More

Well we have Ismail Haniyeh, prime minister of the Hamas opening his mouth today and inserting his foot today. It's amazing to me how people can turn and twist things that have been said and/or done and make them to be right for the fight or the pause for the cause. Haniyeh stated, "We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior," Lets start here, this is so funny all in its own I mean the word assassination, we do realize that the definition is ,"To murder (a prominent person) by surprise attack, as for political reasons." I want you to read that statement again and stop... Read More

The Obscure tragedy of Emmett Louis Till

A tragedy like this one which had gotten very little press attention at the time of its occurrence was still able to bolster the start of the "Civil Rights Movement." From this one incident came Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, Medgar Evans, Rosa Parks, and the list goes on to the culmination of the Civil Rights Movement. But truly it was the courage of a little black woman who was the mother of the victim of this terrible incident who forced the media to pay close attention to this case. In my book she was the individual who should get the credit... Read More

In late 2007, after the death of Meredith Kercher, the media and Italian police told us there was a mountain of evidence proving Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were the murderers. Bold claims about a "Double DNA" knife that had been cleaned with bleach in an attempt to destroy evidence, a DNA laden bra clasp, an eyewitness account putting Amanda and Raffaele near the crime scene, and an ear piercing scream solidifying the prosecution's believed time of death put forth as unassailable evidence. This evidence all sounded credible to the judge and jury in the first trial, but on appeal... Read More

Bad police techniques and incompetent witnesses were the topic of discussion Tuesday night as Seattle University hosted a panel on making the case for the innocence of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito.

One of the guest speakers, Paul Ciolinio, is a well-known private investigator, based in Chicago, who works frequently with CBS’s well known show 48 Hours. In late 2007, Ciolino and the 48 hours crew flew to Perugia to investigate the death of Meredith Kercher.

The last to speak at the event, Ciolino revealed surprising details that raise serious doubts over the competency... Read More
