Teens Happy Homes: The Not so Mighty are Falling:
The Business of Child Abuse
By Joshua Allen
Big trouble for Teens Happy Homes. That’s the gist of the article by Times reporter Garett Therolf. You can find the article here Here:
We once again learn what we already knew:
Teens, is not the sort of place best suited to helping abused and neglected children.Sadly, the same cast of characters shows up time, and time again, at these places. Their names are no... Read More
Bombs are rankling malice given ferocious execution.
Obscenely they pervert technical ingenuity into malignant insanity.
Stealthy, assassins who slay without caring whose lives they steal
Turing satisfaction, hopes, and triumphs into sorrows, horrors, and tragedies
Only cruel, craven rouges bomb people celebrating community spirit.
Neither torturous logic nor grotesque posturing mitigates this atrocity!
Much time and energy will now be expended by trained investigators.
All possibilities will be evaluated and no stone will go unturned.

Dear President Obama,
How often do you stop to wonder how history will remember the 44th president of the United States?
Now that you’ve returned from the Middle East, knowing that the hostility will not be resolved in your lifetime, now that you know that the number of murders in the US will remain the highest in the developed world, nearly 100 times higher than the next country on the list, now that it’s clear that American debt will not stop accelerating, and that America’s position in the world will not stop deteriorating, that you have ticked the Nobel Prize and was elected... I like our local paper. Mostly it’s harmless; sometimes it’s funny; but occasionally it captures things just the way they are. This was the case last week.
Whether it was carelessness, a blunt political statement, or a dark sense of humor that made the editor put the two articles side by side, the result is sinister: those who give money get regulation bent in their favor. This is true in our local town, in the state, and no doubt in Washington. There it is much worse.
While it might seem natural to those educated in a system whose education policy makers will not dare upset... Read More
Exactly 10 years after Bowling for Columbine won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, activist filmmaker Michael Moore teamed up with MoveOn.org and USAction to celebrate the achievement with a screening Saturday evening at New York City’s School of Visual Arts Theatre, followed by a town hall discussion on reducing gun violence that was live-streamed across the country.
The panel included Rob Wilcox, cousin of gun violence victim Laura Wilcox and lead organizer of New Yorkers Against Gun Violence; Jaime Pessin from Moms Demand Action; Lori Haas, mother of Virginia Tech shooting... Read More
Almost 600,000 followers on twitter, more than 7 million clicks on CNN iReport, 5,000 likes on Facebook! These are just a few staggering numbers reflecting the successful career of a young freelance journalist from San Diego, California. Her name is Chris Morrow, and she committed herself to covering the world's top news on many different websites. "Instead of covering a story locally, I choose to do this globally," she says. But if you think all she does is covering our everyday world, think again. A few years ago she won an award for "Best Film" at the San Diego Film Festival, for covering... Read More
“I want to believe”, so says the poster on the office wall of Fox Mulder, the FBI's most eccentric - and gullible – agent. Underneath the words is a flying saucer. “I want to disbelieve”, would be better, under which should be a picture of a naked G-Person. My, my, how shocking it would all be to poor old J. Edgar: his very own Agency has turned into a bare assed joke!
The naked truth, you see, is coming out at last. An Agency that long believed itself above the law has been obliged to face some uncomfortable truths about itself and its more unsavoury practices. Sexual indiscretions... Read More
