At anytime, there is a correction

to start over, without exception

unconfined by election

releasing inhibition

no holds barred, no friction

no need for deep inspection

release yourself to a new direction

no chains surround, nowhere to check in

one more time, an election

to start over, takes only selection

If I type in '2012 blogs' to Google, it brings up a staggering 261,000,000 items. Now they may not all be individual blogs, but it would be safe to say if you hadn't heard about all the gloom and doom merchants you're probably 'living under a rock!' So the big question is:- "Will it happen?" I've got to say straight up that I don't know anymore than anyone else. It may all happen Dec. 21, 2012, or it may happen May 6, 2010, or Jan. 4, 2025 or April 12, 2130. But the odds on it or any other 'end of world' scenario being correct are infinitesimally small.

So let's examine the main claim... Read More

No excuses anymore, no not for a moment, for who I am. Continuing on, pressing against a rush of water, the tide of public opinion and internal questions. I lift a weary hand to grab hold of the branches of promise jutting out of the banks at every turn, guardians to help in the unsure and trying times. Inch by painstaking inch I struggle through the cold waters, surrounded by banks of slippery self esteem. When I try to crawl out, I slide back quickly, if not for the holds I kicked in the mud, pats on the back, given only by me. I can see in the distance the calm lake, a haven of peace,... Read More

It has been said, that it's not the experience of pain that brings hopelessness, i'ts the inability of pleasure to bring satisfaction. What do I do when what is supposed to make me happy no longer does? How then will I find the will to live? What purpose will I serve? My desire for pleasure is like a fire. It is never full, I keep feeding it and uses that up and wants more. No matter how much I give it, it is never satisfied. Soon the glowing embers of want beckon for more fuel. At this point, there must be a resetting of my pleasure threshold. In this lies at least one purpose to... Read More

little Ellie Challis tore the hearts of many in the world when they watched her take her first steps on prosthetic legs. At 16 months old the "little hero" defied the odds of survival after she she contracted bacterial meningitis. To survive she suffered the loss of all four of her limbs.

Remarkably a month ago the adorable 7 year old champion won a position on her school soccer team. Ellie is "football made" according to her dad. Her favorite team is Arsenal and she watches all the games.

Two days ago her mother Lisa said: "She is just the most gutsy and remarkable child."... Read More

When you think about your personal heroes, what names come to mind: a parent, sibling, action figure, military veteran, or stranger you witness saving a life? Maybe it’s the elderly lady selflessly serving free Thanksgiving meals inside the homeless shelter, an ER Doctor working exhaustively for three days straight, or just someone that reaches out their car window at an intersection handing over a dollar bill to a stranger in need. No matter who they are, we all want, and wish for someone who’s larger than life.

Heroes come in many shapes, forms and patterns, and they don’t always... Read More

Most of us start life with a self, an authentic yet undeveloped self, from which we build an identity designed to interface with the world we gradually discover is around us. There are as many kinds of souls as pebbles on a beach, and yet the majority of us end up looking and behaving so much alike.

This conformity allows us to adopt a social role and function in a society of others; the more diverse our habits and behaviours the less cohesive will be the group. And yet no matter how conventional we appear be, all of us are in a constant dialogue between our inner selves and the world... Read More
