I remember years ago discovering the book "The Road Less Traveled" by Scott Peck. It became a life changing experience studying it's meaning to me. Life is filled with many questions, and I have the kind of mind that always needs to be searching for the answers. I am sure some of you can relate to this also. I offer you these quotes, hoping they bring some clarity to you, as they did to me.
I had this book on tape, and use to listen to it while driving . I would not recommend this.... I was listening so intensely one day I almost had an accident. I then made it part of my daily... Read More
As you all know by now, I recently took up Belly Dancing. My teacher sent out a letter shortly before our show last month that she received from one of her other students and I could not have said it better. Although I have only been doing Belly Dancing for a mere 7 months, it has changed my life dramatically.
I too have felt like this woman has in the past and can identify with so many of her feelings. It has helped me to embrace my body and accept it for what it is. I no longer look in the mirror and see a dreary middle aged woman, mother of 4. I see one of the most beautiful... Read More
-----I truly feel your life is what you choose to make it.......and also so much has to do with HOW you want to perceive the world. You can have the attitude that nothing good ever happens to you and life sucks. Or on a positive note, you can decide that you will make a life for yourself that has meaning, purpose, and joy. Over the years I have worked with such a variety of people. Many of them dealing with so much pain , not having much positive in their lives.
Many having grown up in homes where there were addictions, emotional and physical abuse, sexual abuse and mental illness.....most... Read More

The lonely Mariner's lament: "O whale of song as you glide pod strong in your sing-song harmony. O whale of song don't wait too long to sing somefin for me..." Young Orca had been stranded refloated.Recantered were such stories of "Killler"whale run to ground...or at least to sand piled indiscriminately around the moss slaked rocks tossed by a seemingly uncaring hand, but with enough thought by nature's engineers to form a wall of protection to fend off the ferocity of the incessant pounding wave onslaught from stormy winters. And the sly gentle summer... A FILM REVIEW OF THE CLASSIC 'LES MISERABLES'. RIGINAL.
My name is Alfred Shortcock. Brother of Alfred Hitchcock. He had to. I didn't want to stretch it any further...a hitch at first but i percy veered went Westward on the wagon of Artisticness via a short course 'cockup' (as already mentioned). I thought i was studying a diploma course on filmic critique. Only to find at the cessation of the course to be handed a diplomatic 'pass' of 10% out of a possible 500%. The diploma read thus and i'll quake verbatim..."how to flog a dead horse back to life in an earthquake." unquake. Obviously... Read More
how does it change us?
what makes us different if anything?
we see the same things ....... though probably now through squinted eyes or glasses
we hear the same things ... though you may have to speak up a little or slower
we smell the same things .... our nostrils haven't let us down yet
do we feel the same?
hmmm no... our brains think we do, our bodies are less inclined
it's our prerogative to have achy knees, hands, feet or legs, we have used them for a long time
to say what we want to though it may offend, our right to speak our mind... Read More
Today, August28, 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of the famous” I have a dream” speech that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King gave in Washington DC. I simply admire the things that this great man of courage did in his lifetime…his commitment to righteousness, racial equality, and personal freedom.
As usual, I tried to find something interesting about this American icon and found an article on the web site todayifoundout.com. It lists twenty facts about Dr. King that most people don’t know and I found them very, very interesting. I hope you enjoy them as well.
1) His name was... Read More
