Skorpios, a famous private island off the coast of Greece that belonged to Greek shipping billionaire Aristotle Onassis, was recently purchased by an anonymous Russian billionaire for $153 million, reports Erin Burnett fromCNN.

The island, was purchased by Onassis in 1962 for $15,000, became famous as the location of Onassis' wedding to the former First Lady Jackie Kennedy in 1968.

Upon his death it passed to his daughter Christina, and then in turn to her daughter Athina Roussel. Onassis, his son Alexander, and his daughter Christina are all buried on the island.
