He is not just the figurehead of European hip hop and electronic music, but also an icon that especially young people seem to identify with. With socks pulled up to his knees, chequered shorts and a smirky grin on his face, he may remind you of a nerdy school kid, rather than a serious musician or even an artist! His song titles may seem pointless and his dance moves smell a bit like the early 2000s, but it's on stage where it all comes together. The freaky appearance, songs like "Alors on dance" and the robo moves are all it takes to excite thousands of fans all across Europe. However, don't... Read More

The 2014 She Rocks Awards

Anaheim- The 2nd Annual She Rocks Awards was held on Friday, January 24, 2014. This fantastic event was held at the Anaheim Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom E, during NAMM 2014.

I was once again fortunate to attend this event. I arrive at the location to find a capacity crowd in attendance with the overflow crowd standing at the side and back of the room. The event consisted of people from the music industry, sponsors, and media and family members of the awards recipients.

Unfortunately, I missed the opening set by The Command Sisters. Laura B. Whitmore,... Read More

The Rock and Roll generation have finally turned old, despite their best efforts. Roger Daltrey once immortalised the line "hope I die before I get old" back when he was a young whippersnapper of just 21. Now he's 69 years old and still doing gigs just like the members of the Rolling Stones, U2, Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top. Even Ozzy Osbourne has dusted down his black cape to come out of retirement every now and then.

Yes it's hard to believe that the rebellious punk rockers out there who were busy trying to incite Great Britain to be anarchic are now old enough to qualify for bus passes.... Read More

The Little Drummer Boy, as sung a cappello by this group is powerful; they took me by surprise and moved me to tears as I listened to their pure, strong, stirring voices.

This group won NBC’s The Sing-Off, proving that they have what it takes to bring a capella to the mainstream. Their fan base is growing with two great EPs and numerous YouTube covers of popular songs. PTX applys vocal acrobatics and intense arrangements to otherwise simple pop songs, making the songs shine but... Read More
