An entirely original show, Castle Rock centers on a death-row attorney who is called back to his hometown when a mute man found under Shawshank Prison can only mutter the attorney’s name. The show includes appearances by King alums Sissy Spacek and Bill Skarsgård, from the original “Carrie” and reimagined version of “It” respectively. The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix


A new Netflix series for 2018, The Haunting of Hill House is an adaptation Shirley Jackson’s 1959 book of the same name. This show deters away from shock-horror troped and blood and guts. Though not a traditional horror, The Handmaid’s Tale is a chilling look at a dystopian America where fertility can condemn a woman to a life of serving a wealthy family. Light as a Feather on Hulu

A story for Generation Z kids who grew up on the internet, this story was originally written on popular fiction site Wattpad and has approximately 3.2 million reads. The story centers on a group of teenage girls who play a game of “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board,” which turns deadly when they all begin to die in ways predicted during the game.


Castlevania on Netflix


Based on the the 1989 Japanese video game of the same name, Castlevania is a Netflix series that aired July, 2017. Focusing on the life of vampire-hunter Trevor Belmont as he protects others from the infamous Dracula, this is the perfect scary show if you are a fan of anime. Scream: The TV Series on Netflix
