Easy healthy eating: 4 tips

We all know that healthy nutrition is the key to a long and prosperous life. Still, maintaining a balanced diet can be truly challenging at times. Luckily, healthy eating doesn’t have to be difficult at all. We have four tips lined up to help you achieve an easy, healthy diet.

Tip 1: Drink plenty of water!
Though it sounds like an obvious suggestion, it’s definitely worth being reminded. Make sure that you drink enough water every day. Not only is drinking water good for your health on and by itself, it’ll also help you feel ‘fuller’ much faster, making it easier for you to resist those unhealthy snacks.

Tip 2: Smart shopping Healthy eating often starts with healthy shopping. An easy tip: never go to the supermarket hungry. You’ll feel much more tempted to buy certain groceries based on cravings, which will then result in you coming home with a basket full of relatively unhealthy things. Another tip is to make a grocery list before you go out. Only write down the (healthy) things that you actually need and try to stick to them. Is your favorite candy bar on sale? Stay strong, it’s not on your list!

Tip 3: Wanna juice? We all know that eating fruit and veggies is extremely healthy. Still: consuming the recommended amount of greeneries day after day has proven to be difficult for us. An incredibly simple solution for us to get there anyway is through a delicious smoothie or juice. You don’t have to visit an expensive juice bar to do so, you can easily make your own juices at home, using a professional juicer. Kale for breakfast? Why not! If you combine these green, leafy vegetables with fruits like mango, banana, pineapple or strawberry: you’ll mainly be tasting the sweet flavors of the fruits – while still consuming the kale’s many vitamins.

Tip 4: No meat Monday Cutting back on meat isn’t just beneficial to the environment (and your wallet), it is also better for your health. Challenging yourself by eating less meat in a week will make you experiment with vegetables, nuts, legumes and other healthy replacements instead. There are so many options!
