Ayurveda specialists and their methods

Ayurveda - the science of life

Ayurveda is a millennial medicine, that has established itself in the Eastern world as a traditional medicine. Despite the differences with the Western civilization - philosophy, religion, lifestyle - this medicine, lately, has been spreading increasingly in Europe as well. Ayurvedic centres, clinics, institutes were established and are established in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, and have made their way into Bulgaria as well. It is explicable why Ayurveda has been sought after. First, it cures every disease. And secondly, if a person applies its principles in his everyday life, one can reach a century of life, without getting ill.

When we turn to Ayurveda, however, it is very important to seek qualified specialists. We have to make sure that its classic methods and diagnostics will be carried out in their completeness, without simulations.

Here, it is necessary to specify, that Ayurveda is not only a knowledge of the human body and the diseases. It incorporates the enormous experience from different sciences - the plant world, the animal one, the metals, the minerals, even the astronomy, and astrology because the optimal periods for harvesting and processing of the herbs and the biological rhythms of the man depend on them. This is an expression of the Ayurvedic philosophy that a person is in accord and harmony with the processes in Nature and Space.

What knowledge of the different areas we mean, is indicated by the number of the herbs for treatment of the different diseases, and the formulas for combinations - over 50 000. These recipes are preserved in old medical tractates. The pulse diagnostics in Ayurveda speaks about the required qualifications. A qualified Ayurveda doctor can see 600 irregularities in the pulse, but in order to acquire these skills, he studies for 10 years.

The Ayurveda training is the most widely practised in India where this medicine originated. There are more than 180 Universities, which cooperate with a great number of colleges and this is supported by the state. Doctors and therapists acquire different specializations and grades as the graduates receive a government license. For example, doctor Mahesh Garje in Ayurveda Clinic Sofia is a Guru of Ayurveda, with a government licence in Ayurvedic medicine, and also surgery.

The methods of Ayurveda

Ayurveda perceives the specific disease as a signal for energy disorders in the body. The man was born with three vital energies - Doshas. All processes in the body are "allocated" between the Doshas and are carried out through them.

Vata is responsible for the movement - pulse, blinking, blood circulation, the transmissions of the nerve impulses; Pitta is the energy of the transformation – digestion, decomposition of the substances, the metabolism, and the temperature; Kapha is the energy of the hydration and immunity. These three vital energies are in an equilibrium, in which, each one more or less has a share. Maintaining this balance set by nature guarantees an excellent health.

However, if any of the energies go out of balance, the natural processes in the body are disturbed, which leads to diseases because the body does not function properly. Deviations from the equilibrium of one of the Doshas - regardless of whether it is the leading one or not, normally causes deviations in the other Doshas as well. So the occurrence of diseases indicates to the qualified Ayurveda doctor which processes in the body are disturbed and respectively, what energy imbalances have occurred. This, of course, is done with precise diagnostics, such as, for example in the Ayurveda Clinic in Bansko. Doctor Pawar works there, whose tutor had been the famous Ayurveda Teacher Ragawan Tirumulpad.

The Ayurveda treatment is about the restoration of the energy balance. Thus, in practice, the whole body is cured - in physical, psychological and mental aspect because the normal body functions are restored. There are a few ways to achieve that and they are applied in combination. After the diagnostics, diet regime is assigned, therapies and procedures for the toxin cleansing - external and internal, and Yoga. The remedies are completely natural. Herbs are used in combination with different natural oils; there are no side-effects. Of course, according to the type and extent of the energy deviations which have led to the respective disease, the treatment lasts for a different period of time.
