The Latest News On Climate Change

By neil6, published on Dec 8, 2012

... the world stopped getting warmer some 16 years ago. The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August, 2012, there has been no discernable rise in aggregate global temperatures. This means that the 'plateau' or 'pause' in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose ie.1980 to 1996. So the bottom line is, up and down for the last 16 years, but no net change. Before that temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.

I decided to try to find even... (more)

Science Starting to Win Climate Change Debate

By Josh Marks, published on Aug 10, 2012

Global warming is real and humans are causing it. That greenhouse gas emissions are contributing to climate change is as accepted among mainstream scientists as the earth revolving around the sun. A recently published story on climate change denial in Australian current affairs magazine The Monthly cites a survey that found 97.4 percent of climate scientists agree that "human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures."But what about the few scientists still skeptical of climate change? They are starting to come around as evidenced by the highly publicized... (more)

Redundant stuff had been produced on issues like Global Warming, pollution within and outer space, depletion of Ozone layer above and ground water levels below and endangerment to Bio-diversity around the globe, through Global work-shops, seminars and symposiums. What has been yielded from such efforts is quite invisible, because, the Business State concept has replaced the ‘Welfare State’ concept quite long back. Profits for few have become predominant activity of the governments than the ‘welfare’ of many around the world. So, blowing with the Conch in the deaf ears yields nothing. Land,... (more)

A Lot of Wind

By Anastasia , published on Mar 28, 2012

Matt, the fifth Viscount Ridley, is one of the people that I am thankful for. A businessman, a libertarian and a journalist, he has done so much to expose bogus and fashionable nostrums. Rather like a modern Don Quixote he has tilted at windmills, wind turbines, to be exact, relentlessly exposing what I am convinced is the greatest ‘alternative energy’ scam of the age.

Writing previously about wind farms I made the following points;

Wind farms, who does not hate the sight of wind-farms? I certainly do. You may think they are necessary as a source of clean and renewable power.... (more)

Scientists: Smart Meters Are Safe

By Josh Marks, published on Dec 23, 2010

Smart Meters are crucial to fighting climate change because they are the first step in implementing the Smart Grid, which promises to make it easier for households to become more energy efficient and also integrate clean energy sources into their residential electricity system.

That is why it is a relief that, unlike cell phones, there is no cause for concern with the radiofrequency (RF) radiation of Smart Meters. That’s because the wireless devices produce an infrequent and incredibly weak RF field, according to scientists interviewed by BrooWaha. Essentially they are computers that... (more)

On Blizzards and Global Warming

By ranfuchs, published on Feb 15, 2010

It was a few years ago that scientists predicted that global warming will lead to increased storms, blizzards, and drastic cooling of some areas. So the recent blizzards in the US are of no surprise to these scientists.

However, it seems that the name ‘Global Warming’ is quite misleading, because every time someone experiences a cold day, they question if global warming is really happening. What global warming means is an overall heating of the planet that will cause massive disruptions to local climate patterns: heat waves, draughts, cyclones and blizzards are all part of the forecast.... (more)

Blizzard Strikes US: Drops National IQ 24 Inches

By Tom Lewis, published on Feb 11, 2010 benign and those who think it does harm. The Virginia Republican Party, a charter member of the Know Nothing movement, put up an ad while the recent blizzard was still raging ridiculing some opponents for supporting limitations on carbon emissions because, look, it's snowing, so global warming is a myth. Never mind that the people who actually study the subject (as opposed to those who know what they think before any information is provided) have predicted larger, more powerful snowstorms (and hurricanes and tornadoes) as a direct consequence of human-assisted climate change, and ... (more)

Sex and Global Warming

By Gurmeet Mattu, published on Dec 28, 2009

I know you’re fed up to the back teeth with hearing about this, but I have amazing new evidence that Global Warming is caused by sex.But first the science behind my conclusions. You are no doubt aware that when you rub two items together you create friction and therefore heat. So, obviously, when you rub two humans together you create an incredible amount of heat. And, let’s face it, there are millions of people every day who are having sex and the amount of heat created is enormous. Some sex addicts are doing it two or three times a day and that’s just a prescription for suicide, because... (more)

Blowing Up The Moon

By Lumiere, published on Oct 5, 2009

...every day use, utilizing sterile space materials. Find solutions using our dinero to remove the giant, plastic "garbage patch" floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean instead of just analyzing it from afar. Use our tax dollars to create solutions to prevent man-made chemicals and global warming from melting our polar ice caps. Leave the f#c*!*g moon alone, the earth has enough problems to occupy your brilliant minds for centuries, the last thing we need to do is screw up the moon with our experiments!

If you want to help protect the moon, please complain to NASA on this form... (more)
