A Story of the Soldier and a Spider

By Coach Phatty, published on Jun 4, 2014

During World War II, a US Marine was separated from his unit on a Pacific island. The fighting had been intense, and in the smoke and the crossfire, he had lost touch with his comrades.

Alone in the jungle, he could hear enemy soldiers coming in his direction. Scrambling for cover, he found his way up a high ridge to several small caves in the rock. Quickly he crawled inside one of the caves. Although safe for the moment, he realized that once the enemy soldiers looking for him swept up the ridge, they would quickly search all the caves and he would be killed. As he waited, he prayed,... (more)

Tranquil Thoughts

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Feb 27, 2014

In appreciation I lift my head to gaze at the skylight

My eyes caressed by the radiant moonlight

Blessings as ephemeral clouds dance on the horizon

Slowly moving as if serenading my wanting heart

Lifting my arms to embrace these twinkling stars

Pressing them closely with the warmth of affection

Wrapped in this blanket of peace and serenity

I linger not wishing to leave this godly place

Created within my own loving heart

I call it my own through sweet surrender

Basking, secure in the harmony of benevolence

The Pursuit of Perfection and the Thrill of Victory!

By Jedo Kingsman, published on Feb 9, 2014

... a boxer beating the air", and "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." He also said, "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my... (more)

The Trouble With The True Church

By Credo, published on Feb 1, 2014

... otherwise we are mere beast congregating together pretending to be righteous, while using the words of the Most High to pounce on one another. Without true understanding & true love the nation and kingdom of the Most High can not be built in this time.

¥ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10 KJV)

These words were intended not as a reprimand, but rather to call & inspire the church to a true sense of love and faith, thus fashioning a wonderful nation and kingdom of the Most High here on earth..

The Great Debate: No God or Know God?

By Coach Phatty, published on Dec 5, 2013

...No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him ?

Student: Yes.

Professor: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student: And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student: No sir. There isn’t.

Too Deep For Tears

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Oct 13, 2013

Come close to the edge of breathe and time

Held safe by the strand of a woven thread of faith...

Faltered on shaky knees yet your footsteps

Strengthened by the spirit witnessing placement ...

Beyond anything of this world

Echoes of an unknown past...

Guided simply by your own "knowing"

Wrapped gently in unconditional acceptance...

Manifesting within what your instinct tells you

Surrendered while leaping off a cliff...

Have you wept out your disappointments

Your sorrows, with mournful groans...

All the while... (more)

The Faith That Moved A Mountain

By Coach Phatty, published on Oct 8, 2013

Every once on a while, I come across a story that renews my faith and encourages my soul. The following short story is a great example that shows us that when we TRULY have faith in God, our faith will be rewarded in amazing ways!!

A small congregation in the foothills of the Great Smokies built a new sanctuary on a piece of land willed to them by a church member. Ten days before the new church was to open, the local building inspector informed the pastor that the parking lot was inadequate for the size of the building. Until the church doubled the size of the parking lot, they would... (more)

The One Thing We All Need

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Aug 26, 2013

I am thinking of so many of my dear friends who are struggling with health issues and many other of life's problems. What is the one thing that we all need to have in these times? To me it is hope and faith. Very much the same in many ways. But faith to me is "hope in action"....So I wish you my friends, while I am unable to fix all of this for you, or as I said to a dear lady, "wave a magic wand" the next best thing I can offer you is hope...and may this hope turn to faith. Love and blessings. Barbara

Give Me Dreams to Live Till I Die

By Uttam Gill, published on Jul 25, 2013

“It’s what you have always wanted to accomplish.

Everyone, when they are young, knows what their Personal Legend is. At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible for them to realize their Personal Legend…”This quote from the book Alchemist is so befittingly making my mind, to write the travails of my emotional structuring, which in recent times, to large... (more)

Desperate Hunger Energizes Curiosity

By melanie jean juneau, published on Jul 10, 2013

Curious to see if the Eucharist really was the Body of Christ

Thirsty for more of God’s presence.

Searching for meaning.

Empty, even though I was ’saved’

It drove me to

Because I was desperate I stepped out in faith,

letting go of old prejudices against the cultish, heretical Catholics

To accept the answers of the Catholic Church

Trusting in the witness of millions of saints who had gone before me

Embracing the unknown, the mysteries.

Walking into the Unknown

The... (more)
