Iran regime airline’s pivotal role in terrorist activities

Several airline companies in Iran are playing a big role in the country’s meddling abroad. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Quds Force (the IRGC’s extra-territorial branch) uses the airlines to transfer personnel and supplies to many of its proxy groups abroad.

These airlines include Iran’s national airline – Iran Air, and Mahan Air Company, Meraj and Caspian Airlines. They have been sanctioned for various reasons including their terrorist activities and for activities related to the proliferation and production of weapons of mass destruction.

Prison Abuses Continue in Iran; Prisoners’ Health Suffers

For the political prisoners held in Iran’s prisons, the conditions are just one more example of how this regime uses its religious beliefs to oppress and intimidate those who have a difference of belief. These prisoners often find themselves denied basic necessities, including medical treatment, because of their stand against the ideology of the regime.

The U.S. Congress has passed a bill with sanctions for Iran, Russia, and North Korea. The various sanctions build on different platforms of foreign policy with these three countries.
