Ding, Ding, Russia Vs. Georgia

By Justin, published on Aug 15, 2008

I’m on a roll, and I am not stopping for anybody! Georgia, Russia, who’s next? It pains me, when I try to bring it up in conversation, that people ask me, “Oh my, why are they attacking Georgia, and not New York?” There must be something chronically wrong with the American view, and I thought that some of us would pay a little more attention to our news stations from the recent hikes in the stock market, and the upcoming election… obviously not so much.

I want to ask, why does everyone come to ask us to interfere? Of course when... (more)

A Life Worth Living, Is A Life Worth Losing.

By Justin, published on Aug 14, 2008

Having my afterlife, mostly null and void, I often wonder what will become of me if I would so happen to exit the realm of reality, and enter a realm of uncertainty. Of course I would want something to happen, something beneficial to come out of the life I lead, or well have led, something that doesn’t have me question the reason I am a member of this earth.

Being Atheist comes with its questions, and mostly they don’t have any answers. What is the point of life? Most Christians would argue that living a life by following the 10 Commandments will place you into heaven where you could... (more)

Sexy Time?

By Justin, published on Aug 13, 2008

My mind has been cluttered of rage and testosterone. An excellent mixture for some, many even, but for me, it just does not click. I have been fighting with myself, and as most of you know, this is probably the hardest battle of all. Sex! I see it everywhere, under a bus, on a shoe, through the grape vines, I feel it, want it, but then the next moment do not want sex. Why? I’m asking you.

I have made a pact with myself to hold out until it’s someone that respects me, and I them. Though, is it really that necessary, or am I blowing this out of the water; pardon the pun. I wish I could... (more)

A Lovely Revelation

By Justin, published on Jun 30, 2008

Love; the meanings are endless, often misunderstood, and often taken for lust, hatred, or even revenge. I have yet to have the feeling of love, only fleeting surges I like to call love. The journey will continue; a young, rejuvenated journey that will be with me until the end of my days.

I start with someone I have been involved with for the majority of my teenage years. She is young, impressionable, yet sustained in her beliefs. As our relationship began to flutter, having it’s shares of ups and downs, I’ve began to understand what it feels like to be hurt, and in turn found psychological... (more)

Some Birds Just Do Not Use Their Wings

By Justin, published on Jun 9, 2008

Hockey is the only sport I watch, and therefore the only sport I actually enjoy. The constant hitting, the teeth, the blood, the carnage, it reminds me of watching Hostel II for the third time in a row. Merely kidding, but it does invoke a respect and admiration for the athletes that are constantly moving, and are constantly getting checked into the boards.

To me, it is the only sport that doesn't have a huge fascination with its inner workings. People don't huddle around the screen for the NHL draft. "Woo, mom look the Pittsburgh Penguins are taking Plaxico Burress from... (more)

Is The Country Black Enough?

By Justin, published on Jun 9, 2008

As Hillary Rodham Clinton concedes and endores Barack Obama, the thought quickly enters my head. "Are we ready?" I know I am, and I would vote for any Democrat these days due to rising gas prices and an even steeper cost of college. Though, as a senior in High School I begin to look out across my lunch room and see the still segregated tables. While this country is integrated, I don't think we will ever fully embrace one another.

I have to say, I'm not the biggest advocate of acceptance of race or ethnicity, but if you fight for what you believe in, if you believe that you are going... (more)
