Grief Often Teaches Us Wisdom

I came across this scripture when looking for a quote...I read this and understood that the pain that I've experienced, has given me wisdom that has shaped me to be who I am today. I can actually be thankful for my hardships which have given me emotional depth.

Am I Trying To Out-God God ?

I am not the person that attends church on a regular basis, if at all. If you ask me what directs my life though, I will answer without hesitancy. I place my life in God's hands to direct as He sees fit. Today I need to call myself out for not following what I know I must, what I hold faith in.

There are times we feel we know more than God. We think we can do more than God. We actually believe that what we want and how we want it is better than the way God can bring it to us. In fact we get so busy doing what we think is best, that there is no room for God to come into our lives at all.

Are You Being An Emotional Sherpa ?

I will learn from my mistakes and not defend them....we spend so much defending our mistakes, hiding from them...rather than saying woo...wow what was I thinking? Why do we not say..this is my mistake and I am going to clean up my side of the street. Our mistakes are our best teacher...take them , embrace them, and let them instruct you in the lessons you need to learn. There is purpose in mistakes. I am not a bad person, but I do make mistakes...so I am going to take them, look at the reasons behind them, and then find the truth within this that I need to acknowledge to myself.

Inner Wisdom

"When you journey within, you're never without."

Your internal wisdom is the part of you that knows what is true and best for you. This is the intuitive part of our-self. Each one of us is born with this gift.

The key is to actually trust and listen to it. It often gets lost in a sea of external voices, opinions and judgements. I am talking about the "little voice" that tells you "I know I should do such and such." But very often we dismiss our own knowing for various reasons.

Taking Self Responsibility

Most of us when we talk about struggles or pains we have gone through, tend to describe it in terms of what someone else has done or did not do for us. We say things like "they betrayed me... took my trust for granted and broke my heart" "Now I am left with all this pain, hurt and bewilderment and do not know what to do". "How much can I take from this person ?"

It's time to really look at the dynamics of what is going on. I am not sure you are going to like what I say, but at least consider this and hopefully find a new stronger way of dealing with struggles we all will... (more)

If We Could Rewrite Time

So many moons ago

I wish to travel back in time

Finding a fork in the road

I now would take another path

Rewrite history and destiny which mocks

The fragile human in me longs for that unfulfilled dream

Then the rational mind tells me of this impossibility

Seesawing between what was and releasing it to travel

To a safer abode held in sacred trust and honesty....
