The Weave of Life

A word about Lynda Lehmann:

I'm an abstract painter (mostly Abstract Expressionist) and photographer with a passion for color and the forms of nature. I enjoy making digital art, as well, and discovering NEW VISUAL EXPERIENCES, whatever the medium. I've placed that phrase in upper case to emphasize that that's what it's all about for me: the new and exciting visual experience. When I create, I'm in a steady state of fascination and joy that lifts me beyond all the "normal" concerns of everyday life, and the suffering that seems to be written into the human condition. I've sold my work online and in galleries, exhibits and boutiques. My writing has been quoted on the net, in printed material, and in a movie, and has been published at Creativity Portal. Exploring nature is a passionate interest for me. I love hiking, swimming and canoeing. Writing four Young Adult novels, some soft, sociological sci fi stories, and poetry about nature, has been a wonderful part of my journey. I'm interested in the spiritual aspect of creative process and how it connects us to our beautiful planet. Observing the human condition, I wonder how we can transform society and preserve our Earth, by taking personal responsibility and empowering our best selves. You can visit if you want to see more of my paintings, photos, and digital art. My other sites are listed there. My perspective on the internet is that it offers immense possibilities for communicating, relating, and discovering our common humanity. I blog at Peripheral Vision ( and continue to make art for the love of it. I have a disdain for the quantitative obsession so prevalent on the social networking sites, and prefer a more intimate and meaningful interaction. Oh, yea, I'm still a tomboy and a tree-hugger, and addicted to Turner Classic Movies, my camera, and dark chocolate. Organic popcorn runs a close second to the cacao.
