A word about Libdrone:

I'm a free lance writer and web publisher. I've been a lifelong fan of books, since even before I learned to read. After a career in both bookstores and libraries, I am now retired on disability, but continue to be a prolific reader and constant library patron. I try to highlight books that are not necessarily best-sellers but which entertain and delight or those which explore important issues and present less widely discussed points of view. I've been online for nearly 20 years (that's just shy of forever in Internet years, btw) and enjoy sharing my knowledge and any wisdom I have gained about website communities over the years.

Local hangouts:

Libraries. Lots and lots of libraries. Lakewood Library and other branches in the Pierce County Library System, various branches of the Tacoma Public Library and the recently remodeled absolutely fabulous Federal Way branch of the King County Library System.

Books:

Since June 2007 I have reviewed more than 500 books on my website, Libdrone Book Reviews. I have more favorites than I could name including anything by Pat Conroy, many things by John Irving. I loved the Harry Potter books.

Music:

Mostly the rock and pop I listened to growing up in the 70's and 80's. Lately I've become a huge fan of the late Hawaiian singer Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. RIP Bruddah Iz.

Movies:

My all time favorite is Gone With The Wind, which I've seen a zillion times. I watch a lot of old movies with my spouse, though I don't really have any favorites.
