The Pleasure is Mine

Pleasure to meet you

My first article written for Broo! The pleasure is Mine.

Choosing the first topic to write about on BrooWaha presented a conflict. I thought of just jumping in and writing like I'd been here for months, but it just didn't sit well. It felt like walking into a party full of people who didn't know me, ripping open a bag of chips and squeezing in between two people engaged in a conversation.

As always, I watch myself think and question my impressions and assumptions. On reflection, I realized that the reason I cannot just make like the Broos and say nothing of it is because I've come to know this place as a community instead of just a newspaper or article bank. The common denominator among the writers I've been fortunate enough to read is they are human. Human is rare these days and therefore, an epic find.

So before I launch into writer mode, I'd like to meet you and tell you that I'm grateful to have discovered you; I look forward to learning from you and, if I do my part well, adding something of benefit to your experience. I hope you'll introduce yourself to me and share your views. I look forward to doing the same.

I frankly admit to squeezing in between people at a party or two. I was forever doing it to my parents when they kissed and hugged. Welcome to BrooWaha ... again. Glad to read your article and the photograph is so cute.

Thank you, ladies for your kind welcome. I'm happy to be here. The photo is a child who, for many years now, won't stop calling me MOM. Go figure.

Melody, I hope to continue to make you want to up your game. That makes me want to up mine, too.

Gillean, thank you, thank you, thank you for the introduction and encouragement. I needed a nudge in this direction.

Askcherlock, thank you for the welcome and I look forward to more Memorexy. Your title choice comforted me. I didn't have to worry about him dancing her into a ditch or turning into a vampire or something. I'm all for the ROMANCE!

Theresa, you and I would get along famously. I actually admire those who do squeeze between people. Somehow, it's just not natural for me to do it. Maybe you'll help me learn. :)

You make a grand entrance, I'm sure the party stood still when you arrived.

Welcome to the Broo!

I can tell by your article, the Broo has acquired a new spectator and a great writer.

So sorry I didn't notice your articles before now.
