“From My Heart” is my first publication, my labor of love I have worked on for many years. It is the fruition of the many trials, tribulations, ups and downs that life has dealt me over the years. May you be inspired and enlightened by the words on these pages

Do you listen to music while writing? If so, what do you listen to?

Sometimes I do and it’s usually some very quiet peaceful music. One of my favorite groups is The Fisherfolk.

Do you have any suggestions for upcoming writers?

Yes. Persevere. Stay focused on what you’re doing. Eliminate negativity whether it be people, places or things around you and most importantly believe in yourself even if nobody else does.

What is it you like to do when you are not reading/writing?

I enjoy gardening, listening to music, playing Scrabble and working out at the gym.

Is there an author/authors that have inspired you?

Maya Angelou,

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I never had any thoughts about this to be honest with you. I grew up on a farm and never looked outside of that.

How do you/would you react to a bad review of your book?

I would read the review and listen to what the critic said and pick out anything of value that would help me improve my work and the rest I would throw away. Although it may sting a bit, I wouldn’t take it to heart because I know that that person’s view of what I’ve done doesn’t define me.
