The Green Mile

Movie trivia and validated secrets always intrigued me; "THE GREEN MILE" appears to have a lot more definition than trivia can explain.

"The Green Mile" is a 1999 American drama film directed by Frank Darabont adapted from the 1996 Stephen King novel.

“Academy Award nominated film adapted from a novel by Stephen King. It centers around the lives of death row inmates and their guards. In particular the plot surrounds one of the inmates who is a man with mystical powers, who can cure the sick and on occasion bring back the dead. During his incarceration, a guard notices how gentle the prisoner is despite his alleged heinous crime ( molesting and murdering two blonde haired Caucasian female children) and his tremendous size. Obviously taller and bigger than any other person on the set, his presence was very well noticed, automatically the audience felt the intense moment of his first scene. The film also follows the lives of those on the cell block (death row cell block referred to as the green mile) as the head prison guard narrates and looks back on his life. The following quotes are from some of the more memorable moments in the film.

The Green Mile was first written (in book form) as six episodes, each being published in 1996. The story takes place in 1935 in the penitentiary of Cold Mountain in the south of the United States (Stephen King points out that it is actually located in the state of Louisiana, although it looks like Trapingus County cannot be found in Louisiana). The story focuses on the every day job of the guards in E block (the death row of Cold Mountain) and the arrival of John Coffey, an impressively tall individual, processing mystical powers and an overzealous strength, yet he was an illiterate Black male, charged with the rape and murder of two little girls, and who soon shows supernatural healing powers. The events are told from the point of view of the chief guard, Paul Edgecomb, a cynical but fair man who shows more humanity and understanding than the average prison guard, and who will eventually doubt the criminal culpability of John Coffey

Green is a cool color that symbolizes nature and the natural world. Green also represents tranquility, good luck, health, and jealousy. ("Green with envy")

The color green is the color of balance and harmony. From a color psychology perspective, it is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart.

From a meaning of colors perspective, green is also the color of growth ("Green thumb"), the color of spring, of renewal and rebirth. It renews and restores depleted energy. It is the sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being. This is why there is so much of this relaxing color on the earth, (Green plants create oxygen) and why we need to (preserve nature) keep it that way.

Green is an emotionally positive color, giving us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally. A natural peacemaker, it must avoid the tendency to become a martyr.

Green is the colour of nature and represents growth, harmony, freshness, and fertility. Green has great healing power and it is the most restful colour for the human eye such that it can improve vision. Green suggests stability and endurance but it also indicates growth and hope. To walk a mile on the green grass is to walk in a place of rest, tranquility and rebirth, to walk with Christ is to be healed, reborn, rejuvenated and in harmony with God the Father.

Throughout the story, Stephen King introduces a complete gallery of explosively interesting characters who build the everyday life of this blockbuster movie and cell block prison to create a cloistered atmosphere between the prisoners and the guards. The most outstanding characters are, (main actors named later) without a doubt, the loathsome Percy Wetmore (a young guard who abuses his power over the prisoners and benefits from the support or protection of the governor), the seemingly amiable Eduard Delacroix ( Dale a Cajun prisoner convicted with rape and murder) and the evil William "Wild Bill" Wharton (a young and extremely violent prisoner). The other central character is a mouse named Mister Jingles who is "adopted" by prisoner Eduard Delacroix and who shows vivid intelligence as well as acrobatic skills. He soon becomes the main curiosity in E block (the green mile cell block) impressing both prisoners and guards

This film is confirmation that the establishment understands the true nationality of Christ according to Revelations 1:14,15, and Daniels 10:5.6

St. Christopher

According to the legendary account of his life Christopher was a Canaanite 5 cubits (7.5 feet (2.3 m)) tall and with a fearsome face. While serving the king of Canaan, he took it into his head to go and serve "the greatest king there was". He went to the king who was reputed to be the greatest, but one day he saw the king cross himself at the mention of the devil. On thus learning that the king feared the devil, he departed to look for the devil. He came across a band of marauders, one of whom declared himself to be the devil, so Christopher decided to serve him. But when he saw his new master avoid a wayside cross and found out that the devil feared Christ, he left him and enquired from people where to find Christ. He met a hermit who instructed him in the Christian faith. Christopher asked him how he could serve Christ. When the hermit suggested fasting and prayer, Christopher replied that he was unable to perform that service. The hermit then suggested that because of his size and strength Christopher could serve Christ by assisting people to cross a dangerous river, where they were perishing in the attempt. The hermit promised that this service would be pleasing to Christ.

After Christopher had performed this service for some time, a little child asked him to take him across the river. During the crossing, the river became swollen and the child seemed as heavy as lead, so much that Christopher could scarcely carry him and found himself in great difficulty. When he finally reached the other side, he said to the child: "You have put me in the greatest danger. I do not think the whole world could have been as heavy on my shoulders as you were." The child replied: "You had on your shoulders not only the whole world but Him who made it. I am Christ your king, whom you are serving by this work." The child then vanished.

1.Paul Edgecomb:

the 1930's at the State Prison, where a young Paul (now played by Tom Hanks) is suffering from a urinary infection. Some of the other guards- Brutus "Brutal" Howell (David Morse), Dean Stanton (Barry Pepper) and Harry Terwilliger (Jeffery DuMunn) bring in a new inmate. His name is John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan) "like the drink, only not spelled the same." He is a gigantic muscular man, but when Paul talks to John they find that he has the mindset of a small child- very meek and apparently scared of the dark.

Caption was infected with life from John Coffey

They misinterpret meekness

2.Percy Wetmore: at the end of the film he could never tell on Paul and the other officers because John Coffey caused him to lose his mind.

3. Edward tall strong and determine companion of Paul also witnessed the miracles of John Coffey.

4.Harry was a middle age who stood in the back ground witnessing everything while holding his composure .

5. Dean Young man, a father, and husband who worked honestly on the green mile who began to love and believe in John Coffey.

1. Wild Bill raped and murdered the two Caucasian girls and left them in the woods

2.Dale convicted of rape and murder unfortunately died viciously on the electric chair because Percy purposefully didn't put water on the sponge to better conduct electricity, killing the person without a prolonged death.

3. John Coffey almost child like accused and convicted for raping and killing the two Caucasian girls in the woods that Wild Bill actually murdered. The film portrayed John Coffey (the black Jesus Christ) extremely deficient in any obligatory social consciousness of how the average white CHRIST would naturally perform. Instead of all power, wisdom and knowledge at his disposal he performed as an ignorant child who had just figured out how to do a few magic tricks. He didn't seem to know where he came from, what his purpose was, nor how to use his powers as well as the customary white Jesus. John Coffey played into many of the harsh historical stereo types still maintained against the Negro people. In the film he was asked...

Do you know where we are going? To help a lady. How do you know? Don't know. "don't know much of anything, never have".

The customary White Christ usually displayed throughout the world was able to bring back Lazarus from the dead, after being dead several days even with the body decaying, Thus unequivocally demonstrating his wisdom, power, and his un abounding knowledge. John Coffey on the other hand a black Jesus was unable to resurrect the two little girls who was murdered by Wild Bill just a few hours after their deaths, he was only able to save a mouse called Mr Jingles provided he worked his magic ASAP after the mouse died. Once again racism is secretly maintained, nurtured and fostered within the film, sending a clear message (a white supremacist Message) significantly stating that whites are always superior than their black opposing equals, even if that Negro happened to be the legendary Messiah. Somehow because he was black he was deficient as a savior, and didn't even know that he had came (was sent by God) to earth to die for the remission of sins. John Coffey appeared to have dropped out of the sky at 33 years old already prepared for the crucifixion. Even worse is the notion that he lived for 33 years on the earth walking around with no shoes, or adequate clothes on to at least shield himself from the changing weather, unilaterally knowing hidden things and yet worldly dumb, substantially understanding nothing around him. Methodically the media expresses the White Jesus as knowing all things, very progressive individual, and audaciously proactive, which is in sharp contrast to how this film candidly portrays John Coffey, ignorant, mentally slow, child like, almost retarded, uneducated, and unkept. I suppose his lackadaisical condition was as a result of all that Ritalin he must have received in public school, but for the most part he stood in as a most defective caricature of Jesus Christ.

Brutus tells Del about Mousville before his execution. He explains that it is a special park down in Florida just for mice; he knows full well that Del’s mouse, Mr. Jingles, will not end up there. However, he does this so that Del will think Mr. Jingles will be safe even after he is gone.

2) Could I have a Box for My Mouse?

Mr. Jingles

Eduard asks the prison guard for a box that Del can give his pet mouse. The guard then replies, “I notice your English gets better when you want something.” This implies that the guard knows Eduard only speaks English when it gets him something.

3) Don’t Forget About Mouseville.

Moments before his execution Del tells the narrator to take care of his pet mouse. However, the evil guard, Percy, tells him (just before Del's execution) that it does not exist, taking away his hopes before he dies to punish him for a joke he made of Percy wetting on himself. He (Percy the evil guard) says, “That’s just a fairy tale these guys told you to keep you quiet. Just thought you should know. Faggot.” The lack of kindness Percy has for a man about to die shows that he is a strong contrast in comparison to Paul who shows sympathy for his inmates.

4) Ain’t You Sweet?

The slimy prisoner Wharton grabs inmate guard Paul ---when he wanders to close to his cell. He then proceeds to molest and say sexually explicit language to Paul.

5) Drop Us a Card from Hell!

Mean Percy makes a disrespectful remark to the body of a dead inmate- “Drop us a card from hell. Let us know if it’s hot enough.” Another guard tells him to back off because he paid his debt.

6) You Also Scared the Livin’ Crap Outta Me!

Harry tells Percy that he was frightening to both the guards and the inmates when he started to throw things at Del’s mouse. Percy then responds in an apathetic manner to suggest that he could care less what anyone else thinks of him.

7) Still Prayin’, Still Prayin’

Paul and Harry are trying to speak, but another prisoner is being too loud for them to talk.

These quotes are just a sample of the great movie, “The Green Mile.” If you want to hear more great quotes from the film, then check out for sound bites of your favorite scenes. However, if you really want to get a feel for the movie, then watch it in its entirety as it is a movie that leaves the viewer thinking about human nature long after it is finished.

"I had a mongrel dog, Just a sweet mongrel, you know the kind."

"Well in many ways a good mongrel dog is like a Negro, you get to know it, often you get to love it, it is of no particular use, but you keep it around because you think it loves you". If you're lucky Mr. Edgcomb you never have to find out any different. My wife and I was not so lucky."

The dog never bit before, then the cameras show the close up view of a little boy missing an eye that was decimated by their dog. Unfortunately this (racism) was the kind of reasoning that sat on the judicial council judging Negroes at that time, and yet may still control the judicial process today.

Susej Dog is the old testement spelling of 'Sausage Dog'. (God spelled backward "dog") The great and all might Sausage Dog is the true creator. He is the only real diety, and quite a lazy one at that. Quite long too.

Texts written about him have been mistranslated backwards, to form 'Jesus' and 'God', which have apparently been adapted into a couple of man made religions

The main character John Coffey came to prison to die as Christ had come into the world to be crucified. Wanting to live yet requiring death, separating himself from the miseries of the present world.

I noticed that as an undercover black Christ he was cast as illiterate and unaware of everything significant about the world around him. This was far different than the usual white Christ of the mass media who was witty, intelligent, charismatic, and spiritual, fully aware of the workings of the world he had embarked upon. Another major difference was that John Coffey (with scares covering his body) was muscular, a strong masculine black man, while the white Jesus Christ was effeminate, soft spoken, with smooth soft skin, appearing angelic, virtually and completely delicate showing no physical signs of abuse. It was quite possible that the white Jesus Christ didn't suffer the oppression of black racism (beaten for existing as a black man) that John Coffey certainly suffered during such racist times, but when the warden's wife asked him where he received so many scares John was clueless. His inability to recall these scares was a sharp reminder that black oppression and abuse was so common in this western society that John Coffey simply forgot where he pick them up. This witch hunt against Negroes further played a banjo to that old stereo typical slave that whites made themselves believe never felt pain, remorse, sorrow, or any human emotion and so they (the slave masters) forwarded the onslaught of abuse without emotional restrains.

The posse or mob of Caucasians who found John Coffey in the woods, sitting on the ground with his legs spread wide and two young white, blonde haired female children, dead in his lap. Blood sprawled around their heads and all over this big black buck John Coffey's hands, chest and lap. This scene lost something at that point for me. Why? Because the scene was not believable, in light of the fact that in America during such a period of racism, these white men would have murdered Big John Coffey long before ever reaching the authorities, as a result, the scene felt a little displaced. Nevertheless the mob acted like the Jews who remand Jesus over to the Roman authorities to be crucified, and they even came to witness his death at the execution. The parallel of commonality between Jesus Christ and John Coffey are explosively powerful rendering a tremendous opportunity for obvious analytical inspection. Although Jesus Christ's name has eleven letters and John Coffey has ten letters, the initials of both names coincide (J. C.) thus making the possibility of coincidence less reasonable. There is no scepticism concerning this movie, John Coffey is sporting the caricature JESUS CHRIST.

Apparently the play writers and Hollywood directors seem to consider the possibility of a black Christ, but they mask their considerations with this camouflage play write movie, casting John Coffey as a wanderer, an illiterate no body without direction or guidance, and a huge bear footed bum of a man (with a child like aura) who was imminently afraid of the dark. Imagine Christ "the light of the world" being afraid of the dark (but not afraid of death), when everybody knows that light (Christ is the word and the light ) chases away the dark.

"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (John 8:12 KJV)

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. (Psalms 119:105 KJV)"

Yet here we have a black Christ, afraid of the dark (blackness an absence of color and light) just imagine the light fleeing from the dark. It was no surprise that the movie makers wrote him in as a defective Christ, of lessor value than the usual white Jesus. There is a distinct point of view, when considering the opposing profiles that are proliferated around these two characters (an intelligent White Christ and an illiterate Black Christ), which are hidden view points of racism.

John Coffey not unlike Jesus Christ, was staged (in the corner cell being the corner stone of ISRAEL) between two criminals each to be executed by the state for crimes against God (in this case God would be the establishment), leaving John Coffey ( complementary to Christ) as the only innocent prisoner awaiting execution or crucifixion (the modern day Roman crucifixion being electrocution). Although one of the criminals died by gun shot, all three were executed just as Christ and the two MaleFactors were crucified on the cross. Furthermore John Coffey as Christ the plot using the guards as his disciples and the little guard Percy Wetmore as judas who was cursed by God for his misdeeds, they (guards having a dual role) were also used as the four Roman soldiers who attended the crucifixion of Christ. One criminal was the bad criminal (Wild Bill) who murdered the two little girls that John Coffey was accused of killing, while the other criminal (Del) seemed more remorseful for his crime, pretty much how the two malefactors that flanked Christ on both sides during his Crucifixion had reacted to their crimes.

Once again like Christ who held one criminal (Del) up for the paradise, John Coffey held Dale up saying that he was the lucky one after his death, but the other criminal (Wild Bill) he didn't regard, but convicted him in condemnation.

Why did the screen writers chose the name Coffey and its peculiar spelling? What significance does this particular name have in common with Jesus Christ?

Coffey Anderson (born 1978) is an American singer-songwriter originally from Bangs, Texas. His unique brand of country music blends in distinct influences from pop, contemporary Christian, gospel and soul that has attracted many. ...

Analytical examination of the name "Coffey" reveals six letters in similitude to Christ" also having six letters. Moreover history shows that Coffey was a real person who made his living blending various styles of music, the ones that interest us is contemporary Christian, soul, pop and gospel music which further connects the character John Coffey (a black man and black music) to Jesus Christ ( historically a white caricature), which associates a black Messiah to the White Christ. The entire handle "Jesus Christ" is a Greco-Roman terminology which was created to derail the message of the Messiah and the growing unity that was happening between a certain population of ISRAELITES who began to amass to follow the path of the Messiah. By calling the Messiah Jesus instead of his true name they took the growing focus of the world off of the people of God and placed them on the Greco-Roman newly created religion "Christianity" that was named after their bogus Demigod. How did we determine that this name "Jesus" and this title "Christ" was a malicious deception.

In the Strong's Concordance the Greek term "Christ" is found at 5547 & 5548, and the Hebrew term is "Messiah" found at 4899. & 3323

(Messiah is the Hebrew term replaced by Christ the Greek term)

Evidently the Greek term "Christ", although it had roughly the same meaning it was not the term that was utilized by the Israelites when referring to their lord and leader.

He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, BEING INTERPRETED, the Christ. (John 1:41 KJV)

The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is "CALLED" Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. (John 4:25 KJV)

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were CALLED Christians first in Antioch. (Acts 11:26 KJV)

Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian. (Acts 26:28 KJV)

Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. (1 Peter 4:16 KJV)

By delegating a fictitious name (the Greek name, "Jesus", taken from his mythical father Zeus) and applying it to a Greek title ("Christ" a Greek term defined as the anointed) the enemies of the Messiah and of his movement (to save and recover his people "the lost sheep of the house of Israel") had then disannulled or stagnated that movement

The New Testament title of "Christ" is derived from the Greek Christos which is the equivalent to the Hebrew (????) Mashiyach, rooted in the idea to smear with oil as an anointing of Jesus of Nazareth for his role as God's chosen one, who's head was anointed with oil when the dove sat on him during his baptism by John the Baptist. The Christian religion (named after the falsified Greek term CHRIST) came about as the all inclusive organization (falsely allowing all nations rather than merely Israelite people into the covenant) of Christ. This notion of universal salvation (saying that all people can be saved under the new covenant) is sharply incompatible to scripture, (Hebrew 8:8-9 the new covenant was given only to ISRAEL).

If you are not apart of the new testament you are not apart of its salvation.

Hebrew 8:7-10

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. (Hebrews 8:7 KJV)

For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: (Hebrews 8:8 KJV)

Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. (Hebrews 8:9 KJV)

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: (Hebrews 8:10 KJV)

Michael Clarke Duncan

John Coffey (The Black Jesus Christ) demonstrated his rejuvenating powers by breathing life back into a dead mouse., Exercising a demon or expelling sickness from the warden's wife and healing the head guard's STDs. Recovering and extending the life of the mouse and the head guard, causing them to vicariously live to extraordinary immortal like existences. Kissing a white woman (white woman are said to be the black man's kryptonite) another man's wife (adultery) (interracial coupling) in order to heal her, or a mouse (beastiality) or curing STD's (sexually transmitted diseases, which is reported and stereotypically associated statistically with the black race) , this makes for a rather suspicious implication and plot, associating these negative stereo types under the pathology of the film. Historically the white Jesus was never hitched to these kinds of mundane cures, in this manor in order to heal people from their ailments, he certainly didn't kiss a rat reported by God's law to be unclean, therefore the film producers and writers had far deeper meanings (however I suspect hidden racism behind these negative implications) for these types of cures staged by the black Messiah. A mild insult staged by the narration of this movie set against the black race which again, no notice by the humane lobbyist had been levied.

Judas Iscarlot ( Percy Wetmore) purposely killed the mouse by stomping him to death to get even with one of the prisoners (Del) who made fun of him because he urinated in his pants out of fear when Wild Bill grabbed him by the throat squeezing him and speaking foul threatening words in his ear.

It appeared to me that these characters played several roles in the Messiah saga, each having semi spectacles on, a performance wearing several hats. Percy was judas who died on a tree form causing the death of Christ, only in the film he died mentally in an mental asylum, each having the curse of Christ on them. (In the movie you saw John Coffey blowing flys into Percy's mouth thus infecting him with the curse (A bisexual scenario ). In addition he played one of the abusive Roman solders who ridiculed and mocked the Messiah, he sort to expose the events that took place on the Green Mile to the governor (a business and family associate) similar to judas using the Roman authorities to spy out the activities of Jesus. Although the other four officers played the part of the Roman Solders who stood over Christ at the crucifixion they also played his disciples who studied under him. There were in total four Roman soldiers who in all actuality represented the four beast or the four major kingdoms that would subdue the ISRAELITES and eventually burn down their kingdom in Jerusalem. This would take place over four major time periods throughout history, enslavement that would scatter the ISRAELITES abroad among all kingdoms of the earth which is the four corners of the earth.

Coincidentally, just as CHRIST suffered and died with an audience (who hated him and wanted him dead) full of people witnessing his crucifixion John Coffey had an audience of white folks who hated him for killing two girls (scene secretly represented racism against blacks, as did the entire film).

The two malefactors or criminals that died on the cross who hung on each side of Christ were played by the two inmates, Wild bill and Del, Del the mouse keeper played the friend of Christ who stood on the right hand of the Messiah (on a cross) while the other (Wild Bill) stood on the left cross who denigrated CHRIST.

"I'm tired of being alone, like a sparrow in the rain. John Coffey loath the solitude and the hatred in the world, so he longed for death. In contrast white Jesus feared for his life (John welcomed death.). Oddly enough CHRIST was said to be the light of the world, yet the black John Coffey was afraid of the dark.

As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. (John 9:5 KJV)

This film evidently played out the crucifixion of Christ in a most clandestine manner, also it portrayed racism, white supremacy and the long held stereo types of the Negro people that continues to isolate people of color from the social infrastructure of the known elevating establishment. In the final analysis of the scheme of this movie we must question motives for erecting such a theatrics. Did the black Messiah save the world by his death or did he merely save himself from the noise of world sufferings? Thus if John Coffey ran ( never acknowledging his purpose nor completing his mission) from his duty (by way of execution, he seemed lazy in comparison to his white mirror of Christ) as the savior, this movie has further demonstrated several stereo types augmenting a peculiar difference between the black and the white Saviors, that even in heaven there is inequality.
