At the annual South by South West interactive convention in Austin, Texas a company had homeless people acting as Mobile WiFi hotspots that internet users could connect to for $2 for $15 minute access
Austin, Texas - The "homeless hotspot initiative" was launched Thursday at the SXSW conference where homeless people are wearing T-Shirts with:
"I'm a 4G hotspot" on them, during the extremely popular, high tech part of the conference. "Users" can connect to the "homeless" hotspot for $2 for 15 minutes of access. This is certainly a different take on Social WiFi.
