Can science ever accept ghosts and spirits?

Can science accept gohsts?

Are ghosts, spirits, and other no- physical entities exist as an extension of science, or do they contradict science as we know it?

This is a continuation from Science and Parapsychology?

As we have seen, there are different ways we can categorize PSI phenomena, each category has a different relationship to science and scientific methodologies. As we discussed, science does have the tools and methodologies to validate or disprove claims about the existence of PSI events that impact the physical world, such as telepathy, or telekinesis. However, these are only part of the PSI universe. Another category includes ghosts, spirits, guardian angels and other non physical entities. While there does not seem to be a consensus of what these entities are, and what they are made of, PSI experts tend to agree that these entities exist in a parallel realm made of neither matter nor energy (in the scientific sense of the term.)

Science, in general, does not make claims to the existence or nonexistence of domains that do not obey the laws of our physical universe. However, science will strongly oppose the ability of such domains to interact with our physical world. That is while ghosts might exist, they should not be able to be seen, heard, felt, or interact in any other way with our world. Any such interaction will violate one of the most fundamental laws of physics, the first law of thermodynamics.

The first law of thermodynamics, states that the energy of a system can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed. Therefore, if the world of spirits does not obey the laws of our physical world, any interaction between the spiritual and the physical worlds, whether an image we see, a sound we hear, the moving of an object, a draft of wind or change of temperature, will manifest itself in the physical world as a creation ex nihilo(out of nothing), and cannot be accepted by science.

Revising fundamental scientific theories is commonplace, and it is not unthinkable that at some stage the first law of thermodynamics will be proven insufficient or even wrong – after all, if it were theoretically irrefutable, it could not be considered scientific. Until such time, however, it is wrong to claim that the existence of such 'spiritual entities' is merely an extension of science to areas science has not yet explored. If a contact with such entities will ever be proven, fundamental laws of science will have to change.

Therefore, it seems that for our purposes PSI is a dead end, and will not help us in our search of the meaning of reality.

Tasty can of worms here. Science is not absolute. It relies on the human spirit of debate. The conversation usually starts with "There is a growing body of evidence that indicates..." Agreements add to the "what"--and we call it reality. True science, by definition, doesn't answer the "why." Following the quantum leaping logic here, our "spirit of debate" must be an intruder from outside the known universe.

I think the real question is, can ghosts and spirits ever accept science?

i dn't know d truth but we can think abt this issue , maybe our present includes our past and future both , means our world is three dimensional but it may be true that the energy which we call spirits or ghosts can be seen only in four , fifth or sixth dimensions, i dn't know wht i m thinking now ,but it may be truth that our past and future are inside our PRESENT but we need to that eye which can see psi world
