I've long been a fan of Tony Berkman. He is one of the sharpest people I know and I consider him a friend. If he had done some kind of not at all clear "not-exactly-a-buyout-more-like-an-angel-investor-sort-of-deal" for a site I detested, I would immediately be ready to give it another look. I had never heard of BrooWaha before one of Tony's posts on Blog Catalog caught my attention and I wandered in. And was almost immediately hooked.

I've been publishing a book review site for more than three years now. Three years of having to read and absorb at least one full book for every... Read More

Money today

gone tomorrow

I spend it like water

use it before it comes

count it like sheep

and earn it like spankings

drown in it like quick sand

and eat it like supper

dream about it at night

and feel it at day

work for it like muscles

lose it like sweat

money today

gone tomorrow

Depressed? Maybe

Angry? Not sure

Confused? Absolutely

I listen to P!nk as I pace the rooms in this empty house

Nothing and no one around

No noise except the Lyrics of Sober blaring from the computer's speakers

Understanding and feeling every word

I gobble the pie of pizza I just ordered

Trying to clear my head

I eat all alone

I was hoping I'd finish every slice

But my small body can hardly finish two whole slices

I push in another slice

Feeling like I may puke I continue to chew nonetheless

I eat... Read More

Shopping for groceries may not sound as much fun to me as it is for my son. Every time we are at the store an important decision has to be made. It’s not about what or how much to buy but the cull between curiosity and confection. With all the allure that a supercenter has to offer, keeping a child sitting on the shopping cart calm certainly can be tricky. Sometimes the situation may turn out to be a good test of a parent’s patience and tact. Such is the case when I and my son are on grocery tour together. For me, answering spontaneous questions raised by a three year old while simultaneously... Read More

Have you ever wondered how sometimes the people you consider to have bonded well may just be an example of yet another pseudo-connection in your life? That the ostensibly simple looking daily occurrences of life may perhaps be the most complicated things on earth… I have realized it. Not once; many times.

I have friends in college who have been around for the last three years now. We have enjoyed some funniest, happiest and lamest moments together. We went movies together, did assignments for each other, bunked classes to go for breakfasts and lunches, slipped out for dance parties and... Read More

At most times I understand the world and then I'll wake up to a brand new day and see things differently. Everyone has their point of view and it can confuse my little world.

After a great night's sleep (which hasn't happened a lot this summer), I awoke with the same sense of adventure I used to have pretty much everyday as a kid enjoying the freedoms of the summer months. Back then I would sit down to a prepared breakfast, watch some television, take a bath (mostly to please my Mother), and don my shorts or bathing suit. I made sure I had a few bucks or change on me, my house key, and... Read More

The secrets that I hold inside

Are never to be shared,

The fate that I carry

is forever to be scared,

I have no friends

To hold no hands,

I have no one,

To walk me to the end,

This life is not a foe

neither is it a friend,

mistakes that my luck made

Never can I mend,

Forget that I am human...

Ever, Can I?,

If I fall for it

I'll be a part of this lie,

And Lie is not

what I have learnt to say,

So I'll remember I am alive

For as long as I may,

Alone will I... Read More

Musings Of A Poet

I know Rigina, when it takes a week for legite comments to appear it is upsetting, and it is killing the site slowly. Surely there must be a better way to address the spammers and floggers. Also taking away ratings if you do not post in a period of...
