I wish I could inhabit a place where I can be eternally delimited by the color green—warmth enveloping body and soul. I wouldn’t mind if humidity soaks the dust of this land I dream of; or if perhaps, it is the heat of the dessert what nurtures it… if only I could stretch out my arms and feel this freedom running through my veins all year around.
I live in the land of winds. I am a prisoner of ice; a fire moth trapped within frozen blaze-like fingers made of ice. Iciness and the rawness of a land that’s more accepting than I am. That’s where I shall dwell. If you look outside my... Read More
If you wish to become a poet, I can give you some clues, but please take your heart medication before you read this through, since it contains some strong truths.First, you have to realize that nobody cares about what you want to be, so don't go around complaining that you are misunderstood. Artistic sensitivity is fine, but please keep it to yourself, since there is already too much noise in the world.Second, you should just start writing poetry and do not ask anyone for permission. If you do happen to ask someone for permission, you most likely won't even get a response. Again, it's... Read More
"Stopping a piece of work just because it's hard, either EMOTIONALLY, or IMAGINATIVELY, is a bad idea. Sometimes you need to go on when you don't feel like it, and sometimes you're doing good work when it feels like all you're managing is to shovel shit from a sitting position." ~~ Stephen King, On WritingRead More
And God opened His hands and the airs were filled with beauty and songs... songs in the wings of mourning doves, and songs in the yellow throat of the Western Tanager. And on the tree branches, music in the leaves as they bend and lean and swing together with the breezes.
It is magic--a magical season indeed. Sitting here this evening in the porch, eyes closed; just listening to all the voices of the natural world, I felt transported—transported to "that" long ago beginning. What an amazing gift to be able to listen to all voices individually—altogether. Like a symphony; a sharp... Read More
Again the Succubus calls, answered by my willing compliance. I grab her by the hand, leading me further down the cluttered path, not to peace. Taking the fake offerings, momentary escapes that are void of relief, at the end of night. Grabbing any Savior, please speak kind to me, sooth my ache and dark thirst. There are no companions in this empty pursuit, I barely make it out alive, who will follow me in my destruction? Holding the works of addiction, I set up a fix that never satisfies, only to do it again and again before the end of night. Many will lead me there, then abandon my desperate... Read More
In late April my little kingdom grows lush and supple. Spring blossoms would burst out in a dazzling fashion show of reds, pinks and whites and, if you’re lucky, you’d be dazzled by clusters of dark to light magenta pink too. Thick like a carpet tiny petals would lay on lawns and paths to welcome you, and the tulip would tinge the ground with reds and bright yellows. My little world comes alight and alive… and me too! The crow's feet at the corners of my eyes seem less noticeable, and my pale winter skin acquires a renewed youthful bloom—I acquire new eyes that let me see life in a renewed... Read More
It’s been cloudy for the last few days with a steady on-and-off drizzle that have kept things watered down, and the garden is already looking wonderful. Rose bushes are starting to put forth their first leaves—green and supple, reminding me that soon my little world will be perfumed by lovely roses. What else can one ask for?
I am content; like the trees rooted in this garden I so love; and I have been busy painting all my garden statues and fountains. The sound of tickling water has started to serenade my mornings again and the Western Tanager has returned home. Soon I will be discovering... Read More

I know Rigina, when it takes a week for legite comments to appear it is upsetting, and it is killing the site slowly. Surely there must be a better way to address the spammers and floggers. Also taking away ratings if you do not post in a period of...
