So, You’re Ready for a Relationship?, Here’s How To Find a Partner

by Editor (editor), , November 30, 2019

There comes a time in the single life when you’re ready to be all loved up. With cuffing season upon us, it’s the perfect time to end fall right and fall in love. Of course, that’s easier said than done. With all the emotional muck we have to sort through in order to find someone not only are we attracted to, but we actually like, and *gasps* likes us back, we truly have to jump through far too many hoops.

But if you’re ready for a partner, not simply for validation and attention, but because you’re emotionally ready to show up for someone, and for someone to show up for you, then you’re well on your way to not only finding a relationship that suits you, but one that is ultimately healthy.

So, how do you go about this? We can keep it old school and new school so you have all the opportunities to fall in love. Just remember, the relationship you have with yourself will always be the most important.

Apps, Apps, and More Apps

Of course, in the year 2019, we have to start with the most popular way of meeting a potential significant other. With technology being the main way we do most things lately, there is no shortage of apps that are made for all different types of dating and all different types of daters.

For example, if you’re looking for someone who shares your religious views, you might be open to something like J Date, for those of us who are Jewish and want to make our mothers happy, or Christian Mingle for those of us gentiles.

If you want to maximize your dating potential, not have to travel too far, and are really interested in sexual attraction to a partner, then you may want to try Tinder. Tinder comes with its own drawbacks, but it also has anyone and everyone looking for anyone and everything.

This app is for those of us who might want to try everything at the buffet. However, Tinder might be oversaturated with men that send the same pick up lines. You can visit blogs like omgkinky.com to discover new original tips to communicate with women online.

For those who are looking for apps that market themselves as specific to finding meaningful relationships, try either Hinge or OkCupid. Hinge has way more information about potential partners, and has a very high success rating for partnerships. They even market themselves as the app “designed to be deleted.” OkCupid has been around for a good while and is probably the most comprehensive in getting a real view of what a potential partner is looking for.

The Old-Fashioned Way

Remember when couples used to meet through friends of friends or colleagues or even at the grocery store? This still happens, albeit seemingly less frequently. A good move in finding someone who shares your interests would be chatting someone up at a concert, bonding over loved writers at a bookstore, or asking a friend to set you up with someone you’d actually be compatible with (and isn’t just simply single).
