What's In-Store For The New iPhone 11?

It is expected that the iPhone will release their next line of devices sometime in September. The new lineup is expected to be made up of three devices that include iPhone 11R, 11 and 11 Max. Two of the devices are expected to have a 3x OLED Retina display with other one going with a 2x LCD. This is similar to what the company did with the XR, which made the model cheaper than the rest. The devices have been named D42 (replaces the iPhone XS), D43(that replaces the iPhone XS Max) and the N104 that replaces the iPhone XR. All three have the same resolution as the predecessors.

Camera System

Among the three, the Max version is the most high-end model. It is expected to have a triple rear camera system. The same is expected to be featured in the standard version. In the same line, the company is said to adopt a new Pixel 4-alike square-shaped array.

The front-facing camera is expected to be around 10 MP and will allow for slo-mo recording at an incredible 120fps. It will also have an upgraded Face ID system and a new feature called ‘Smart-Frame’ system that captures the object around the framed part to allow the user to adjust the frame if necessary. The extra information captured will be held for some time and then discarded automatically by the system.

Charging and Batteries

There is also a rumour that the iPhone 11 could allow for wireless charging. With it, you can charge your Apple Watch and AirPods from the phone’s battery. The batteries will have a larger capacity to support an array of these devices.

Engine

The new system is expected to have an under-the-hood system that includes the 7nm A13 SoC chip. It also features a new Taptic Engine that allows for improved haptic feedback. The new engine is known by the code name leap haptics. This feature replaces the 3D Touch and makes it a Haptic Touch. It uses linear resonant actuator for its haptics, which results in greater fidelity than the mass vibration motors used in competing models.

Apple has not added 3D Touch since the release of the iPhone 6. However, the iOS 13 that comes with the new devices will allow for Haptic Touch. The feature requires a slightly long-press than the norm. It will be in all devices, including the iPod touch and iPad. This should enable the company to withdraw the 3D Touch without disrupting the customer experience in their devices.

Casing Maker Hypothesis

Olixar is already offering deals online for the upcoming iPhone cases. While it is not clear whether the maker has all the details of the phone, the case has an interesting design. It has a square camera bump on one end, pointing to the likelihood that there will be square cameras in the new device. The TrueDepth module has a smaller notch, pointing out that it could be smaller in the new devices. Finally, there is the mute switch looks like a rounded slide that can move up and down rather than the flip switch currently in use.

18-watt USB-C Power Adapter

One of the other biggest rumors is that the Phone is finally getting rid of the standard 5-watt USB power adapter and instead of going for the 18-watt USB-C power adapter. All the three new devices, as well as an upcoming iPad Pro, will use the adapter. Other analysts believe that the devices will not have the actual ports but the current USB-A ports using USB-C Lightning cables.

Apple may have other names for these devices, but all or several of the features above might be available in the next release. Check for new iPhone deals online from comparison sites such as Compare My Mobile when the device is launched.
