Thinking big doesn’t have to be a big deal

Clownfish has the expertise to manage your entire festival site.

Surreal sound and light for an atmospheric ceremony – very few can do it like the way Clownfish does.

Clownfish Events is a bespoke event management company comprising of a permanent, carefully selected team of event planners, account managers, technical crew, professional party people and brand ambassadors.

Their job is to deliver unforgettable events by bringing your ideas to life.

What makes them unique?

Here are 5 reasons why I consider Clownfish as a unique event management company in the UK:

1. They bubble with personality

They are quirky, energetic, refreshingly different and tonnes of fun. From their office-based planners to their events guys on site, the Clownfish team is unequivocally charming, delightful and personable.

2. They lead the market

Clownfish promises to stay innovative and on top of their game; they challenge the industry and push the boundaries of what is expected of them; and they’re always hungry for whatever might be around the corner.

3. They do it right

They’re not interested in cutting corners. From the moment you engage them, they will take care of the details. From mood boards, to CAD plans, to people management, to insurance – they’re here for the duration, taking the strain and making your life as easy as possible.

4. They’re available 24/7

They live and breathe events, so they’re never limited to the 9 to 5. Clownfish clients have access to their team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without exception. They know you’re busy, so they’re here to take the strain.

5. They give back

They offer preferential rates for charities and give their employees the opportunity to support causes close to their hearts. They support disadvantaged young people through their charity partner, Eikon, and offer mentoring and work experience to promote skills development, hard work, fun and friendship.

How did they function?

I hired the Clownfish team for a traditional Buddhist lantern floating ceremony and here’s how they functioned:

The brief

The ceremony itself forms part of a wider celebration, as visitors are welcomed into the temple grounds to enjoy a picnic, live music and drumming workshops.

Their job was to provide staging, sound and lighting that brings the whole event together.

The atmosphere

The atmosphere at the ceremony was relaxed, informal and family-friendly, however it was important for everyone in our team to understand that it is a spiritual occasion and they must be respectful of that.

Before every event, their staff was thoroughly briefed on what was expected of them. Whether it’s loud and lively or calm and considered, each project was unique and their approach adapted accordingly.

Their box of tricks included:

·Modular stage blocks to host musicians, speakers and workshops.

·A sound system to broadcast performances across the temple grounds.

·Practical lighting to illuminate the car park, pathways and toilet facilities.

·Ambient lighting to create atmosphere and a sense of occasion.

They were accommodating and flexible. Nothing was too much trouble and it was easy to get hold of their staff during the course of the entire event.
