How did they function?
I hired the Clownfish team for a traditional Buddhist lantern floating ceremony and here’s how they functioned:
The ceremony itself forms part of a wider celebration, as visitors are welcomed into the temple grounds to enjoy a picnic, live music and drumming workshops.
Their job was to provide staging, sound and lighting that brings the whole event together.
The atmosphere at the ceremony was relaxed, informal and family-friendly, however it was important for everyone in our team to understand that it is a spiritual occasion and they must be respectful of that.
Before every event, their staff was thoroughly briefed on what was expected of them. Whether it’s loud and lively or calm and considered, each project was unique and their approach adapted accordingly.
Their box of tricks included:
·Modular stage blocks to host musicians, speakers and workshops.
·A sound system to broadcast performances across the temple grounds.
·Practical lighting to illuminate the car park, pathways and toilet facilities.
·Ambient lighting to create atmosphere and a sense of occasion.
They were accommodating and flexible. Nothing was too much trouble and it was easy to get hold of their staff during the course of the entire event.
