The attack takes place when malicious users tell all the zombie computers to contact a particular website or server over and over again that increase in the volume of traffic and overloads websites or server results in the slow speed for the authentic users or sometimes shut down the website or server completely.

Due to these attacks, it could be possible that the attacker could take control over your computer due to the security vulnerability. Then the attacker forces your computer to send data in a huge amount on a website or send spam to specific email addresses. The attacks are distributed to launch the DDoS Attacks because the attacker is using multiple computers including yours.

The attack affected many fortune firms and companies and users all over the world associated with the DYN. Later on, the issues were resolved by DYN's team.
