Microwave Cleaning Tips:
Microwaves are the most helpful kitchen appliances at home. Follow these steps to clean it properly.
- Fill a bowl with a cup of water and 4 tbsp of vinegar. Instead of vinegar, you can also use lemon juice or dish wash.
- Microwave the solution for about 2 minutes, it releases steam which helps to lift the grime, dirt, and grease from the microwave.
- Use a clean cloth to sponge the insides of it. If there are tough stains use a scrubber to take them off.
- Wash the rotating plate after taking it out.
- Clean the microwave from outside, most importantly the buttons.
- It is best to clean your refrigerator when you’re about to for the weekly grocery shopping. Take everything out of it and clear all the shelves.
- Go through the items taken out from the fridge. Check for expiry date and dump all the items that seem fishy.
- For cleaning the fridge from the inside, mix two tablespoon baking soda in hot water. Dip the cloth in the solution and wipe off all the stains and dirt.
- Wipe the exteriors of the fridge with liquid soap and hot water.
- To remove the odor from the fridge, place a bowl of ground coffee behind the fridge.
- Fill the jar with 1-2 cups of water and a few drops of liquid soap.
- Blend it for 30-40 seconds, after that dump out all the contents and rinse the jar.
- Keep it inverted to allow it to dry.
- It is mandatory to clean the dishwasher once every month to remove any stuck food items from the utensils.
- Clear the drain part present behind the rack.
- Put a cup of white vinegar in the top rack of the dishwasher and run the hot-water cycle to clear out any dirt, bad smell from the machine.
- Sprinkle a spoon full of baking soda at the bottom of the dishwasher and run short water cycles. This will help in cleaning the insides of it.
