Long after we are gone, the echo of your life lives on with those that love you.

What is history? An echo of the past in the future; a reflex from the future on the past. Victor Hugo

Our lives are echoes of familiar places in time

Held tightly in our memories and captured in our hearts

All of our desires and longings played over and over

In different places and other bodies

Bringing with them the shining sun

The stars to sparkle in it's heavenly light....

The angels bending low to hear our sighs of wonder

Our weeping in anguish, tears of unknown descent

Perhaps the lost dreams playing, wetting our cheeks

While giving hope to others.

The birth of possibilities beyond

Any earthly limitations....

Spellbound in fascination by the shadows

Of light and darkness intertwined

We wonder if there is a purpose

Meaning to what we see, what we feel

After the rain comes we are blessed

With the ecstasy of the brilliance of sunshine....

The seasons of life measured

By those that come and those that depart

Leaving us imploring and asking

For answers to this unknown purpose

Wanting comfort to somehow

Show us a plan and order....

Hearing the voices and echoes in the wind

In bewilderment we ponder and search

Are they our own or messages from Above

Lighting our way when we fumble and fall

Being lost in the sands of time, in the dust

Or hope holding us by the roots of life....

My Higher Power show us the way

The hope that life will deliver us to fulfill our purpose

Let our sufferings and sorrows not be in vain

But the path which gives birth to glory

Righteousness and grace given freely....

...and aint you the one to encapsulate the embodiment of what trivialities we should discard and concentrate on living a life on an ever slewing see-saw of emotion driven by so many planned and unplanned changing life factors, hopefully to the betterment of those around us and primarily to ourselves to enable this to happen. Don't know why but your poetry always makes me feel like i should strive to be a better person!...nah...just my over energised imagination? :>) You is good Twinkletoes.

Thank you Riginal, the one thing we can count on in life is change...even if it means simply changing our thinking...:)
