An Unfinished Story

Beauty lives inside your soul, may it bring you all that holds truth and purpose.

The beauty of life is that each day is a gift, where you can rewrite a new story to satisfy your soul. . Everyday is a new chapter, write it with compassion and heart....

I am an unfinished story

Each chapter filled with

Characters playing their perfect part

Dancing inside this reality...

Love, joy, sorrow, pain, strength, grace

Each tattooed upon my soul

Becoming the ink I write with

The colors in many hues...

Many chapters are too long

The hope in me refusing

To let go even though I know

To hold on was a continuation of illusion...

Some chapters are enduring

A prayer to bring with them

The grace and beauty they

Hold in a sacred vessel of intuition....

Often times I want to skip to the end

Wondering if this uncertainty

Brings with it blessings or curses

The rapture of beginning or ending ...

Yet in patience I turn each page

Praying that I will be gifted with

What only has existed in the sacredness

Of an unfulfilled dream of adoration...

Thanks for the inspiration. That's how I want to go out - a work in progress! Or a wine still maturing!

Thanks for the comment Shane. Yes, we are all a work in progress, this is the beauty of is never too late to change or go for your dreams. A fine wine has to be perfectly aged, I like that comparison.

Barb, An unfinished story holds so much of optimism in it...and in that optimism I see starving beauty of your scared soul...soul though instinctively and intuitively holds the reasons as valid as you perceive..yet with your noble soul you calm yourself and while at peace you could so eloquently say in one line itself and that's in the heading of your poem...."An Unfinished Story"...marvelous way of retaining the hope...with grace of your expression you could behold the sanity of your noble soul ...Keep It Up...

It's that streak of God- given empathy/aura, with your surroundings, and that fascinating intangible hesitation that makes you so special and unique Twinkletoes. Take a bow. The Mother Teresa of poetry. And don't you ever doubt it Barbara Mac. Special is you. :>)

Uttam, I know many people who say they want to know what the future will be, myself, I embrace the unknown, trusting with faith that whatever it brings is for a purpose and reason.

Whatever this "unfinished life" will be, I leave in God's hands, knowing He has so much more wisdom to guide my path.

Thank you for your gracious comment...>)

Thank you Uttam, appreciated. Seems the new owner is not going to address this issue. I will not let it deter me from writing though. :)
