Alex Rodriguez surpassed Hall of Famer Willie Mays for fourth place when hit his 661st career home run. The home run came on a 1-1 pitch from the Baltimore Orioles’ Chris Tillman. He’s certainly one of the all time greats.

Jacoby Ellsbury now hitting .363 this season and .487 (21-for-42) during this streak and that is 10 games in a row. If he continues his streak for 11th game straight, Orioles better be ready to pack their bags early.

He took batting practice at Yankee Stadium. He was hitting .300 with two home runs in nine games before the injury.

On Thursday, Steve Pearce returned to the starting lineup after not starting the previous two games with a stomach illness. Pearce did some indoor practice on May 5, though he didn't play in the game. He returned to action May 6 as a pinch-hitter.

Matt Wieters who’s been out from Tommy John surgery is also caught seven innings in an extended spring training game Thursday and was behind the plate for the second time in three days.
