I usually don't like to post videos on this site but I found this neat little video to honor all of the fathers and to remind us the importance of fatherhood and the impact that we have on our children. Happy (belated) Father's Day folks!Read More
A little while ago I read the following story (by John Pasko) that greatly touched my heart and once again made me aware how one of America’s biggest epidemics can affect anyone at any time. It is my hope that it will make you think about this problem and educate others to the importance of trying to prevent tragedy’s like this to happen.
I was walking around in a Big Bazar store shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 years old. The Cashier said, 'I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll. Then the little boy turned to... Read More
I was reading through a bunch of stories the other day and I came across a story (written by Greg Carr) that stated that he had read a news story once of a woman who was getting ready to jump off a 44 story building in New York City.
Witnesses said that she did not look like the type of person who would do such a thing. She was very distinguished and well dressed. As the mother of 4 boys, I am most definitely the thorn amongst the roses. And I quite possibly have myself to blame. You see, when I got married, I was young and innocent and had a lot to prove. I wanted to be able to stand up on my own 2 feet and never feel dependent on a man. I made a point of trying to do it all - including any DIY tasks. So over the years if anything needed to be fixed or cabled up or programmed, I was the go to person. I am the technical one in the family. I like to know how things work and I also pick things up very easily. I can do anything and I am a true Jack... Read More
