Audie Murphy Petition Draws Major VIP Endorsements

By usmc_snco, published on Sep 22, 2013

...Americans. This would most certainly be the greatest of Murphy's many honors and assuredly his greatest legacy. Undoubtedly, he would be most proud to be honored as the "poster boy" for all veterans who suffer with this debilitating illness.

President Obama would be well served in honoring the life and remarkable legacy of the indelible Audie Murphy, one who has been overlooked by every previous president for this honor since his untimely passing in 1971.

The petition is due to close in the coming days and the formal recommendation submitted to the White House for action.

Thy Brother's Keeper

By Paul Wylie, published on Apr 19, 2011

Americans tend to think of the here and now when it comes to what should and should not be legalized. Ask the average person, and many will agree that 'crimes' such as smoking pot, prostitution, gambling, and even polygamy are not activities that warrant the intervention of the government. The laws outlawing these practices are legitimate targets for review and reversal, but if we really want to reform the justice system, we'd better get a team together that will review some of the stupidest laws on the books that you can be imprisoned for even today.

Taking into account that a full... (more)

The Book: Two Chapters Complete and a Dedication In Hand

By BusinessLife, published on Sep 15, 2010

It’s probably fair to say that most everyone wants to feel loved. I think "feeling loved" has been on my own ‘to do’ list for most of my life. And sure enough, I got there and can’t describe how much I love my two sons.

Writing this book about so many extraordinary events that have taken place in my life, both good and horrific continues to be a struggle with every word that I add. I am already beginning to learn how challenging this is going to be to offer such blunt truths for you and anyone else to read about how many times I feel someone stole my voice.

You need to understand... (more)

A Soulful 'Solar On The White House' Event

By Josh Marks, published on Sep 10, 2010

Given the gravity of global warming, a house of worship was the perfect place to welcome a group of students who traveled all the way from Maine to try to convince President Obama to re-install solar panels on the roof of the White House (Jimmy Carter first installed them in 1979 and Ronald Reagan removed them in 1986).The historic All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church on 16th Street in Northwest Washington, D.C. was the setting Thursday evening for a soulful panel of speakers and an enthusiastic audience who welcomed the students from Maine's Unity College at the end of their road trip.... (more)

Let Me Be Clear: this Is A Very 'fishy' Article!!

By Amo, published on Aug 6, 2009

The sheer arrogance of this administration is simply breathtaking, and there seems to be no bounds on its intrusion, on our way of life…how dare he trample on our constitutional and GOD GIVEN RIGHTS…that of free speech!

For those unfamiliar with what has taken place, the White House has just issued what can best be described as a “warning notice” eerily similar to those that cropped up in Germany in the early 30’s, warning citizens of “scary chain emails and videos … percolating on the Internet.”

The warning went on… “These rumors often travel... (more)

Mr. President Your Hypocrisy Is Showing

By Amo, published on Mar 16, 2009

...dictator, is the end of a gun?

As I’ve stated in previous articles this isn’t a battle between left and right, liberal or conservative…we’re the ones being hammered in this economy not the millionaire politicians who’ve retired to Texas or now occupy the White House or fly around the world in state-of-art aircraft, or avoid paying taxes with little or no penalty, and as long as politicians can divide a nation with their own partisan agenda, nothing will ever change.

President Obama is systemic of a political process that’s out-of-control. To my ... (more)

Congress Adjourns For The Summer

By D. E. Carson, published on Aug 1, 2008

... Just so you know, thanks to organized crime (AKA the United Auto Workers Union), Toyota is on the verge of passing General Motors as the world’s largest car manufacturer.  As an American that angers me more than when Obama opens his mouth.

Here is what you can do.  You can call the White House comment line at (202) 456-1111 and leave a message for the president.  An actual person will pick up the phone and take your message.  Tell the operator that you want the president to use his Constitutional authority to call Congress back into special session to deal with the energy... (more)
