Finding Healing

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Apr 19, 2014

Only to have them slip through my fingers

Finding none...

This pilgrimage to perhaps locate "Someone"

knowing the secret who would change "it"

Yet wisdom and harmony eluded me

mocking my humbled journey

I found many who claimed wisdom, strength, honesty

Holding it a prisoner behind their inhumane being

Finding none...

I stopped doing everything that I did

Even those things I had never done

I released them into this uncaring universe

Placed with a kiss of grace

I swallowed my useless... (more)

The One Thing We All Need

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Aug 26, 2013

I am thinking of so many of my dear friends who are struggling with health issues and many other of life's problems. What is the one thing that we all need to have in these times? To me it is hope and faith. Very much the same in many ways. But faith to me is "hope in action"....So I wish you my friends, while I am unable to fix all of this for you, or as I said to a dear lady, "wave a magic wand" the next best thing I can offer you is hope...and may this hope turn to faith. Love and blessings. Barbara

I am Love

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Aug 24, 2013

Deliberately with lucidity of purpose

Opening my eyes and essence to you

I feel you as a warm breeze caressing my spirit

Do not let fear inhibit your heart

I bring you prayers of your unconscious

Thoughts, desires, longings....

I have always been the justification

To all you have sought

The retreat you run to in the darkness

The safeguard to your soul

I am the light and motivation

Of God's breath in you

I am your journey now and always

May you live your truth....

What If?

By D. Sager, published on Jul 26, 2013

... for a resuscitation of your life? Is this the greatest gift? To give my life for you? I've heard this sacrifice called the greatest love, do I pursue this divine commission?

What if we knew that our ways were best fulfilled in this purpose, holding each other above the water? What if my strength grew with helping you, and shrank if I used it to tread the water of my desire?

Then with a great heave I will lift you up, putting you on my shoulders to breathe, for your breath has become mine, and mine yours, and this is what we call living.

...way. She proceeded to tell me her husband had said he was leaving, their marriage is over. Now of course this is more complicated and we did sit and talk for a while...I let her know she could call me if she needed . After, I sat down and wrote this, with a prayer on my lips to send her the strength she needs to keep her and her children well. This is part of what I told her... We need to hold on to hope, faith and trust...please remember that no matter what happens you will be given the strength and courage to face it. When you are in the midst of something that feels like the worse... (more)
