Stand Tall

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Sep 6, 2013

Endless tears

Rivers of regret

Merged with awareness

Which embeds in our soul

Dry your eyes

Stand tall

Move on

Amble on

What can't be

Let it go

Let the healing of

Grace cover

Your soul...

Deliver us

With redemption

To begin

Love Is Eternal

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Apr 28, 2013

Love creates in abundance

Also, having the power to rip apart

Within contained the breath of life

Sometimes leaving us gasping ...

Finding within this love

All we ever wanted, needed . sought

Our hearts so vulnerable

Rational is left wanting...

Love heals our afflictions

Wounds us beyond any measure

Enveloping of treasures

Beyond reasoning...

Never is it truly gone

Even death can not... (more)

Wandering in the Night

By Annie44, published on Mar 9, 2013

A few years ago I started taking walks at all hours of the night. My sleep patterns were really off and I could only lay it down for brief periods before I was up again…hot as a Cape Canaveral Lift-off. Menopause sucks…pre…post…or anything in between.

Instead of staring into the darkness of my bedroom for hours at a time I would venture into the night for some exercise. Yes, I realize it’s not the safest thing to do as a single woman, but I had mace!… and a dog. The never tested mace is at least ten years old…the dog is older and loves strangers. Combined they gave me just the false... (more)

Listen To The Wind

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jan 27, 2013

Do you hear me?...

The wind carries my kisses

Upon your eyes they rest

The sun awakens shining down

Birds singing the last song

I sang into your heart's longing

In balance, my hands

Holding you safely upright...

Persevering years of knowledge

Attached with strings weaved

Through joy and sorrow

Unbroken consecrated commitment

Echoed within each breath pulsating

Given existence extinguished

Humbly gracing our everlasting truth...

Smile for a change

By SZU, published on May 20, 2011

Dig for the reasons

and smile for a change.

Dance and feel the breeze,

to help forget the pain.

It seems like a gruesome task,

it's not impossible to achieve.

Think of that spring you once lived,

before you drowned in this grief..

Need NOT despair

if you've been crushed.

Rewind your memory,

to the times when you were a bud.

Think of all those people

and light up your face.

For bringing back those dreams,

will refresh your days.

Jewels Hold No Value For Me

By BusinessLife, published on Oct 23, 2010

Somewhere in my heart, lies a wounded child. She cries at night, alone, and sinks into the shadows of my soul. She sings a tragic melody of love, untouched and life un-lived. She is the bittersweet truth that haunts my shattered past and draws upon the blood of my survival.

Won't you walk with me awhile and share the sustenance of compassion? I have traveled from far away just for a breath of kindness to toss my windblown hair from my solemn and scarred, stone face. There is love to be found. I am more than what is seen, though still a lost soul, looking for your guidance to even fathom... (more)
