Natural pain reliever Clothes restrict blood circulation, hence shedding that artificial skin is good for stimulating the same. It helps in eliminating tension and discomfort from the abdominal viscera nerve region and even relieves waist pain. Those tight elastic bands do little good... (more)

The Sound Of Sirens

By D. Sager, published on Jun 13, 2013

...of one who gave his ear in desperation of love, or one who wrote under the influence of acid and heroin? If not for leisure, philosophy would find no fertile ground. How can you think when your body is burdened with heat, sweat and fatigue? Yet, as I grabbed the sweaty pillow, I was lying down, sleeping, and still I sweated with what? Passion? Work? What trick of nature is this? I'm still and yet my dreams bring labor, enough work to leave me exhausted. Perhaps I actually live a life beyond the awakened drudgery of normalcy? Society feels no compassion for the sweat obtained through... (more)

Sleep Now

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jul 3, 2012

Sleep now

Don't speak

Lay your head down to rest

Close your eyes now

Don't think

Thoughts can resume tomorrow

Breath in... relax now

Calm and settle down

No planning of tomorrow

Just sweet dreams of tonight.

Your day has been long

And I want you to rest now

Clear your mind for me please

Don't put up a fight,

I know your tired

You need your rest tonight.

Let me comfort you, trust me,

Let me soothe you...

Gently rub your head as you rest

Now you... (more)

The Study of Animals

By Notumbus Bumbus, published on Nov 20, 2011

... in thrall!

So much to learn in this world

That even in moments of repose

I held it necessary to examine the very face of life.

Now, fifty years on, I sit here,

In this small cabin in Mendocino

With you, and our lamb-like dogs,

And watch all of you sleeping,

You in the chair, book open on your lap,

The dogs, sprawled, curled, snoring joy.

What do I learn from this

Fierce nature at rest?

Shall my early training in science

Be a guide, show me the depth

And breadth of the wonders before me?

So Amazon and Kobo want to be Publishers, eh?

By Shane Joseph, published on Nov 11, 2011

...and to the author.

The danger when two or more bed mates jostle for elbow room on the same bed, especially if one has a lot of muscle, is that the muscular one gains at the expense of the others. The ones with less and less room, risk falling off the bed altogether and may leave to sleep elsewhere with other bedfellows. And there is no fun in sleeping in a bed with one big elephant – be that a major publisher, a retailer-turned publisher or a distributor turned one-stop-shop. In this incestuous game, many bed mates, each having equal space, is good – it’s also called... (more)

Dreams- Masters of con

By SZU, published on Oct 11, 2011

I am awake

Unwary of the sleeping death;

As it is unaware of me.

The day it decides to wake up,

it will swindle me to sleep.

And I will

Never be prepared;

For this eternal absence of wakefulness. I often wonder,

if death’s as caught off-guard as life is. If it will ever be prepared for a never-ending vigilance. Maybe it’s sleeping with dreams of waking up one day. As I am awake with dreams of being never put to sleep. Perhaps these dreams are the masters of con… The real cheats , disguised as comfort.
