Gay Culture: The Mouse that Keeps on Roaring

By Thom Hunter, published on Nov 5, 2011

...They don't want us to be happy. They are ignorant, Bible-toting scaremongers. They are homophobic. They are behind the times, rebelling against reality. They like power and want to keep us down. Bless their little-bitty backward souls, theyjust don't know no better. I've been writing about "sexual brokenness" for a couple of years now, focusing on the sin nature that causes many of us to stray from what God intended for us sexually, finding ourselves lusting for same-sex encounters, or transfixed in pornographic fantasy, or lusting after a co-worker or "friend" into full-blown... (more)

Understanding Women - What Really Turns Us On

By Felicia Stevenson, published on Oct 27, 2011

...for about 7 years (on and off, but still)

So while I don't really like to think about it, much less admit to it, and won't share numbers, I guess I've "known" many men.

Throughout those different relationships, some lasting a few months, others up to two years, I've been different sexually with every one of my partners. I've come to realize that I wasn't the problem, various partners were because of the way they acted.

First of all, you have to understand that romance isn't buying flowers or chocolates. Romance, to me, is a series of little attentions. I used to be... (more)

Normal Sexual Behaviors, Paraphilia and Addiction

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Oct 3, 2011

“While human biology is the ultimate basis for our sexual behavior; culture and society are the most important influences on how individuals experience and express their sexuality.” – J. Patrick and Linda Wolfe, anthropologists

This is where variant sexual behavior comes into play and It makes me wonder: Are the boundaries of illness and disorder really so distinct? What is considered ‘normal’ sexual behavior and when is it considered Paraphilia?

First there is the criterias used to define ‘normal’ sexual behavior. Prevalence is where we tend to assume that if most people engage... (more)

Erotic Economies

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Sep 30, 2011

Erotic Economies better known as transactional sex, which it’s extreme is prostitution; has taken center stage in the process of becoming.

The Process of Becoming; ‘Becoming what?’ you may ask. - Becoming someone. Anyone. The very person you wish to be or could be.

“What am I?” – The question asked by many. Mainly followed by “Who am I?” and “what are we?” such questions are to make sense of status in an early relationship, a marriage, an erotic arrangement and so on. In order to accentuate and define one’s self. A series of exchanges occur and so these ‘exchanges’ are used to... (more)

Uncovering Foreign Affairs & their Aftermath

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Sep 29, 2011

To many, Foreign Affairs mean a global stance on politics or even war, perhaps even the american magazine. To others, like myself, is a way of viewing affairs in a different, rather more common way: Cheating. This subject is more taboo than, let us say: Female Genital Mutilation (for those of you who don't know what that is; i welcome you to Wikipedia!) Anyways, the ultimate expectation is mutual monogamy, meaning 'not fucking around with others while fucking me'. Simple to many and so very hard for others... tisk tisk tisk. You can call it anything you want; foreign affair, cheating, fling,... (more)

I Was Raised Catholic So Sex Will Always Be Dirty

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Sep 28, 2011

...You didn't want a man named God - whom everyone loved - to hate you and to see you doing bad things! This was like Santa Claus and the 'Naughty List'. - Shit! I wanted my heavenly presents of puppies and kittens! Unicorns and Glitter!

With values like those, who would deviate? NOT I! - Sex seems to be dirty, a sin, and immoral in some religions, specially Catholicism. To be honest, Paul's Letter to the Corinthians 6,13-19 has not an iota of what it was preaching: "Keep away from fornication. All other sins are committed outside the body; but to fornicate is to sin against your own ... (more)

Por·no·graph·ic Antichrist

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Sep 27, 2011

Por·nog·ra·phy /pôr?nägr?f?/{Noun... go figure!} It's definition: Pornography or porn is the portrayal of explicit sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual arousal and erotic satisfaction - (blasphemy!)

There is something irresistibly appealing about pornography. Not because its joyful to watch and get off with, but basically because it so forbidden that you HAVE to watch it AND get off with it. It knows the needs of its people yet denies any real or accurate ultimate salvation... Like the antichrist of Christianity. I knew there was some awkward relation!

Anyways,

Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda

By Maylin Gonzalez, published on Sep 24, 2011

...couldn't help but wonder how people would react towards blogging these days. In a nutshell, if it were the early 90's there wouldn't be such a thing. Most popularly, there were journalists and newspaper columns where readers couldn't talk or share constructive criticism. If Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City would've stepped out of the tube in 2000 and not in 1998, she would've been a blogger. In essence, "Carrie the Blogger" would've been a success! Yet it seemed as she was allergic to the internet and only used the famous Apple for word processing her articles. Therefore, "Carrie the... (more)

Wam Bam Thank You Ma'am

By Shari G, published on Jul 1, 2011

Dear Shari…

I need some advice. Please help. I have never been good with relationships. I actually have had just one. When it comes to guys it’s either all the way or nothing at all. No interest whatsoever. I really like this guy but I messed up and now he has the wrong impression of me. How do I tell him I want to get to know him and it’s not going to be a quickie?

~The Quickie Monster

Dear Quickie Monster,

First rule of thumb: You will never control what others think of you but you can control how you think about yourself.

Sounds to me like you’re the one... (more)
