Dancing in the Rain

By Coach Phatty, published on Jul 21, 2014

There are many times throughout our lives that we experience circumstances that can either leave us feeling good or bad about ourselves. They can be either positive or negative circumstances but the most important thing that we need to remember..is how we deal with them!!

Unfortunately, I know the feelings of resentment and hurt all too well. I didn’t realize it at the time but I had fallen into a web of negativity over a course of the past few years. In conversations with other people, I had become a “nay-sayer”, someone who talked about people in negative ways instead of being the... (more)

When Life Is Gray

... everyone that took part in the activity.

Also, observe the affect it had on the person that was receiving the encouragement. It’s truly amazing when you watch the affect of what a group of people, all focused on one goal in a positive manner, can accomplish.

The power of positive thinking, encouraging others and the ability not to stay “bogged down”, not only allows a person to feel better about themselves, but demonstrate an act of compassion that can not only help themselves but enhance other peoples feeling of worth.

So, the next time you are “down and... (more)

By Coach Phatty, published on May 12, 2014

...well-being. It produces helpful hormones that fight stress, effects the immune system and in many cases, also helps lower blood pressure.

The following story is a story that I had heard many years ago. I finally found a copy of it and I am still amazed at the power of laughter and positive thinking. It is my hope that this story will inspire you and for those of you who are suffering from physically or emotionally. I pray that it will help you to find ways to think of your life in a positive fashion and it will lead you to find ways to heal your body and soul.

The Wind

By D. Sager, published on Jan 2, 2012

I could feel the strength of the wind.

Fresh, dark, mystical wind.

On the shadow side of the steep mountains,

clouds hovering, the wind teasing,

making smoke tails.

Strange feeling, exhilarating yet,

peaceful, almost entrancing,

the wind in my hair.

Smells, fresh, moist, sounds of a tree,

a falling comrade in the green forest,

all carried by the wind.

How is it that I fit in this mystery?

How is it this wind takes me?

Like a seed carried away from my past, by ever-present

3 A.M.

By D. Sager, published on Dec 16, 2011

We are old adversaries, 3 a.m. and I, from my youth we've struggled together. Many are the battles, endured, survived. Everything is clear, nowhere to hide from my thoughts, from my past, from my heart. Lying awake at 3, reality is raw, my thoughts accusing, blaming, vindictive. Who can stand alone with 3 a.m.? Hauntings begin, things you thought were dead, coming to life. I now called out, my battle cry at this loathsome time.

"3, you sought my life, mercilessly slaying my peace, wracking my soul with dread at having to face you, again, again, and again, always there. Come let's wrestle... (more)
