French tax administration helps Guy Wildenstein to disinherit

By Olivia Harris, published on Jan 9, 2014

In the Wildenstein family, women are not really lucky with inheritance. That is the least one could say when taking a look back to history of these uncommon art dealers’ family. For 10 years, Sylvia Roth struggle in court to get the inheritance her husband Daniel Wildenstein wished to give her. She was deceived by her in-laws who told her that the inheritance would come along with tremendous fiscal debts in France. The story was made up, but Sylvia believed it. Hence she was deceptively convinced not to take her share of the family’s fortune. When she realized she had been played on,... (more)

Is it News...?

By DKIdea, published on Dec 24, 2013

By now it should be well known, my outlook on how we are given what passes as “news” these days. I think there is too much propaganda and partisan agendas being injected in what should be objective reporting. It’s just my opinion, but much of what they are calling news just isn’t newsworthy to me. Recently I was given a newspaper (cause I’ll be damned if I spend my hard-earned money on any of these rags) and on the front page, the most important and meaningful bit of information this paper had to offer, was a trade and speculation about the effects of it on that nights sports event. Umm...what?

It’s Not Rocket Science

By DKIdea, published on Dec 23, 2013

Politics. It’s very simple. It’s a bunch of people seeking to manipulate another bunch of people, by attacking, yet, another bunch of people. Sound confusing? It’s not really. It’s stupid, underhanded, and disingenuous, but it certainly isn’t rocket science.

I was reading the July 5th edition of the Boston Herald when I came across an article about Secretary of State, John Kerry. Now let me caveat this entire post by saying that I’m neither a Republican or Democrat. Instead I’m an independent thinker that refuses to be manipulated by the snakes on either side. Anyway, the article... (more)

The Affordable Train Wreck

By Randy Mitchell, published on Dec 5, 2013

Do these words sound familiar? “If you like your health insurance plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your Doctor, you can keep your Doctor…period!” Again, sound familiar.

These words were spoken over and over (some 34 times) by our current President in an attempt to derail insurance companies, hide the truth, and lie to and make fools out of the American people in regards to his signature policy. It’s all coming to pass right now, and will give new merit to the old saying, what comes around, goes around when the elections of 2014 and 2016 finally arrive. Then, and only then, can... (more)

American Media and the ex-Soviet Propaganda

By ranfuchs, published on Sep 1, 2013

I bet that it’s been some time since you cared about what was happening in Iraq. After all, the media has barely covered the new wave of killing, the worst bloodshed since 2008.

What about the 3,852 civilian casualties in Afghanistan in the first half of this year? When was the last time you watched, read or thought about them?

And until last week, like the media, most Americans did not care about the two and a half years of civil war in Syria that killed over 100,000 people. Not until Obama declared, “Let’s bomb them.”Suddenly, the media is discovering how immoral these Syrian... (more)

Iran Leader claims Israel 'A Wound To Be Cleansed'

By Shaun Gibson, published on Aug 2, 2013

Iran's president-elect Hassan Rouhani has called Israel an old "wound" that must be removed. These statements would seem to cast doubt on the viability of efforts to revive peace talks betwen the Palestinians and Israel.

"The Zionist regime is a wound inflicted for years on the body of the Muslim world that must be cleansed," Mr Rouhani said to reporters.

His comments echoed those of outgoing president Mahmound Ahmadinejad who earlier whipped up anti-Israel sentiment at an Quds day rally in Tehran.

He said: "I will inform you with God as my witness, a devastating storm... (more)

The US government has paid at least £100m to the UK spy agency GCHQ, over the past three years, according to documents leaked by whistleblower Edward Snowden.

The payments were made to secure access to Britain's intelligence gathering programmes, according to the documents viewed by The Guardian newspaper.

The revelations have emerged after Snowden was granted a year's asylum in Russia following more than a month inside an airport terminal.

The fugitive left Moscow airport in a taxi, although... (more)

Evils wins when Good people DO NOTHING

By Shaun Gibson, published on Jul 30, 2013

An observation about the world.

I see a world where bad is winning.

I see a world where the good people, people like you and I write about the wrongs and nobody really acts.

While the bad people have a field day and do what they want day in day out, where lies are told and money is made through having power

How long, as a species are we going to stand back and watch wars being fought over what? Oil and money? Wars are being fought for the wrong reasons and many will say it is awful, and it is, but it has always been this way. Through history however good... (more)
