The Tell Tale Signs Of A Need To Reinvent The Police Force

By Chedvah, published on Apr 20, 2009

I realise that my first sightings of ‘coppers’ or the Police in the United Kingdom made me gasp in awe. What kind of Police force gallivants and make street runs without artillery or guns? Then it was explained to me that the police force in the UK didn’t carry guns. I was perplexed, not so long after, stories (real life ones) of gangs clashing with the police and having vantage over them because gangs had weapons started to emerge. In 2001 debates loomed far and wide about whether the police should carry guns (BBC, 2001). The saga continued after several terrorist threats, the Police... (more)

By D. E. Carson, published on Mar 29, 2009

You won’t read about this anywhere on the Internet because no one wanted to cover it. In fact, the only place that this story ran was on Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor and now it’s here.

We all know the story about the four Oakland police officers killed in a shoot out with Lovelle Mixon. We also know that Mixon himself was killed in the shoot out. We know that Mixon was on parole. He was tied to several rape cases and he was considered a violent criminal – carjacking and assault tend to land those labels on a person.

What we don’t know because on one bothered to report on... (more)

By john robertson, published on Mar 29, 2009

...us. He took all of my stories, my plays, my essays and poems, my clothes and photos, furniture and belongings and he burned them in the back yard. My father spared my bed, so that he could lay down on it in the garage and kill himself.

When my mother called to tell me the police had found my father’s body and it was safe to finally come home, my heart stopped as I drove up the road to our secluded property. In giant letters my father had spray painted the walls on the exterior of our house: “John is a faggot and he deserves to die.”

I told JC ... (more)

...in his escape plan. Guzman regained control of the Sinaloa Cartel, and in an effort to cut down competitors, the Gulf Cartel, The Juarez Cartel and the Tijuana Cartel, on the U.S.-Mexico border, created chaos that led to  President Felipe Calderon to deploy the Mexican Army and federal police on the streets.
