Tears fall, sliding down the cheek like small torrents of rain. Sadness, deep and wrenching...taking hold of the soul and holding it captive.Loneliness, profound and all encompassing...surrounding the life force in totality.Fear, looming behind the insecurity and haunts me.

More To Life

By Barbara MacDonald , published on Jun 5, 2012

Crossing the rivers of indifferenceSwimming into awarenessWhere all the whirling stopsThe heart wins over the mind...There is more to life thanmeets the eye....Perceptions running freeLike crystal clear waterfallsBringing the gift of lucidityRevealing the perfect reality...There is more to life thanmeets the eye....Touching the very essenceIn which all life is rootedI'll call upon the silenceThe vast void...There is more to life thanmeets the eye....Defining my illusionsI will ban from my soulAll the melancholy accumulatedFrom endless nights of longing...There is more to life... (more)

DESTINYSitting in the nucleus of debris and effulgence of the pastWatching the breaking of a new day, searching the perspectiveLonging for a glimpse of the road less traveledCarrying in my soul a song which will resonateStrumming the apparatus blending in harmonyThe hope and heaven this new day brings me...Contemplating my life , accepting in the fullest measureWithout illusions but open to expectations I will generateFulfilling my suppositions with a cry of joy on my lipsMy heart beating with the rhythm of my dreams Marching to a beat I feel in my soulTime for reflection when the day is... (more)

Holding in my handsYour gift bestowed unwantedTo me an affirmation of sorrowCrucifixion of my heart and soulLeft dripping with melancholy...Still I hold this sacred knowledgeTransforming this curse intoBlessings which frees my existencePropelling me onward to embrace Luminaria of a candle burning within...Overabundance of purposelessRealities masked by inconsequential Addictive savoir-faire arrogance Will not abide with me ever toDestroy the elegance of transcendence...At last seeing the truth I refused toAcknowledge existed within your beingEyes wide open encompassing withForgiveness granted... (more)

On the Outside Looking In

By Cielo, published on Apr 29, 2012

Daylight is an old man sitting outside the jagged shack...

Hand on cane chin on hand.

And his old soul is a butterfly sitting in the brink of time.

A moment decisive. And me too--tested has been the day.

Empty handed I befall lips sealed windswept

I am the old man.

(Cielo Noriega)

Have you ever felt this way before?... And I was struck all at once how life was out there going through its regular courses, and I was caught in its whirlpool; suspended, waiting, caught in a cell within a cell; between living my life and not living it the way I... (more)

The Burlap Man

By LVera, published on Apr 18, 2012

My body was made of Hessian,Burlap to many and cloth to few.I worried as the moths woke me,Carrying a piece of me in their mouths as food.I could hear them nibbling, biting, devouring me.I swung my arms, and they attached to them too.Every effort failed and contributed to my pain. This morning, as I looked in my broken mirror, I figured out a plan.My face was no longer the one I loved. It was battered, full of stuffing and full of hate.I wanted them to die, I wanted them to glow.So as they fluttered around my body, attached by their mouths,I lit a match. But their fluttering extinguished the tiny... (more)

Listen to the sounds

By Betty B., published on Apr 16, 2012

Listen to the rain falling on the roof listen to the sound of the wind in the air calling out to us saying He's always there.

Listen to the birds singing just for us helping us hear His voice in the sounds waiting for us to reply, hello today Lord way up high.

Listen to the tree's so big and so proud Listen to them whisper all of His sweet sounds.

Take a second to open your ears Listen to the sounds of our Masters voice way up high in the tree's and the rain take His hand today and do things His way.
