Bean Bags - The Answer To Your NYE Party

By Katie Li, published on Dec 23, 2013

Planning a mega party

So it’s the biggest party of the year – New Year’s Eve. The party to end all parties you’ve had in 2013 and kick off 2014 with a bang. So you want good music, good drinks, some tasty nibbles and most importantly of all… plenty of comfortable seats.

Bad parties

We’ve all been to a dodgy party where you’re standing around awkwardly because of a lack of seats, or placed on a stiff hard back chair that makes you feel like you’re in a doctor’s waiting room.

And trying to get to know everyone, relax into the night and get everyone to loosen up and... (more)

Girls, Girls, Girls, And More Girls

By Scorpion Sting, published on Apr 29, 2013

... watching people. There is no better place to watch people than in a bar. Well, unless you consider a busy mall, say a few days before Christmas, which is just plain insanity if you want to know what I actually think. I think the best thing about the strip bar is that every night of the week is a party from open until close and then the party generally doesn't end. Can y'all tell I have spent way too much time behind the bar at strip clubs? This weekend was no different. Those Thoughts Again

By D. Sager, published on Feb 20, 2012

Always it hits me hard, the burning feeling almost taking my completely out of the game, making each breath painful. It takes all I have to stand up, to continue forward; all I have to resist the feeling of... (more)

I Left my Drinking Problem in LA

By taking off the mask, published on Mar 19, 2011

... But I never went totally over the top after that.

In the summer I spent three weeks in LA. It was okay but I missed the late nights and the drinking, here I was underage, so that meant no bars or grocery store beers. So I knew I had to find a way. To my luck there was a kick-back (a small party) at the house I was staying. The parents were still out of town so it was just me and their son. He invited a few of his guy buddies and they drank and smoked. They offered me some vodka and I gulped it straight from one of those red plastic cups. A few minutes later I was on the kitchen floor... (more)

3 Xmas Party Xploits

By Glenn T, published on Dec 10, 2010

There is perhaps no single event more threatening to one’s continued employment than the office Christmas party. This seemingly benign or even joyful event, which ostensibly brings co-workers together to celebrate the holiday season, absent from the pressures of the workplace, couldn’t be further from its intended device. Whereas the idea is to remove the hierarchies, formalities and otherwise awkward deference of working relationships in furtherance of a fraternal atmosphere, it ends up being an exercise in pretending to do the same, while being exceptionally careful to not... (more)
