The Good Guys Don’t Wear Badges (Part 1)

By DKIdea, published on Feb 15, 2014

...his business. But because the good guys don’t wear badges anymore, just the sanctioned criminals, Thomas was killed when he could have either been freed or arrested.

There needs to be justice for Kelly Thomas. Every cop involved that decided to depart from their training in favor of murder needs to be held accountable. The only people that can make that happen are the good people that recognize the criminality of these cops. Keep asking yourself the obvious questions, no matter how difficult the answers are. Then ask yourself on final question: What would you do if it was your... (more)

Wake the Dead, or we need to catch the killer.

By Jennifer Stone, published on Jun 12, 2012

Sometimes history will repeat, or show us links from the past to know. It will be a time, a place, who was there any connection. Sometimes these criminal events intertwine. Within many criminal activities there is more than one person. For murders that go unanswered of course there is always a question that was left unanswered.

Many people will wonder about crime thrillers why write them. Well to uncover something about a person that has passed and never hand the information on to the police would be selfish. You don't start to uncover a murder, for me it just happened. We were... (more)

Last Conversation...

By Gregory John Smith, published on Dec 9, 2011

...them to death and dumped them in the woods. At that time, nobody other than the killers knew about the killing.

Can you imagine my uncomfortable feeling when the police also called me at the end of that same week, in their attempts to identify the bodies of two young boys who had been murdered and dumped into the woods close to our Hummingbird Rehabilitation Centre a couple of days earlier. I had already planned my visit to Roney and Claudiney the next day and felt pretty sure I would find them waiting for me, so I dared not even think about the possibility of a connection here... (more)

So Fragile is a Street Kid’s Life...

By Gregory John Smith, published on Dec 5, 2011

...years old were huddled together in a tight group on the roadside surrounded by three armed policemen. The thought immediately entered my mind; something horrible was about to happen. My kids knew it and I knew it! Lightening flashbacks went through my mind, showing dreadful scenes of the last murdered adolescent who I myself had photographed only months before in exactly this very same spot (see photo), only minutes after having received a bullet to his eye and throat (and shimmers of 26 more young people who had been laid to rest against their will during the past few years in this same... (more)

Madman in the Mirror: a Novel by A.J. Gallant

By Wrp68, published on Dec 4, 2011

...

Henry was brought up from an infant to be a serial killer just like his old man, but years later as he discovered that he perhaps wanted to turn away from the dark and into the light, it had become a complicated thing for a shattered mind.

Harold forced Henry to observe the act of murder in the mirror before he could even walk. He saw terrible things in that mirror, and now in fact the man in the mirror talks to him. He was never shown affection of any kind and driven insane at a young age. Henry has a difficult time forming relationships with anyone, especially the opposite... (more)

The Children That Watch Us

By LVera, published on Oct 18, 2011

His grandfather was crazy. Corey knew it at a young age, hell, the whole street knew it. The last time he saw his grandfather was the day the old man stood on his front porch and yelling at him. He was playing with the neighbor kids as his father talked to the people across the street. They were complaining again about his grandfather. Corey stood behind his grandfather's car that was parked outside his fence as the gunshots rang out through the streets. Corey could see the impact points on the gravel, tearing like an invisible beast into the blacktop.

The kids scattered back home and... (more)
